CHAPTER 168
The room was silent. Too silent. No one spoke to the other, rather they only stared sharply. It was the most difficult meeting ever.
Lucifer sat at the head of the table, his fingers drumming slowly against the polished wood and his eyes watching everyone closely. On either side of him, Giovanni’s men and his own allies sat stiffly, their eyes fixed on the floor or glaring daggers at Giovanni across the room.
No one spoke nor moved.
Finally, Ravi leaned back in his chair and looked Giovanni down. “We can’t help him.”
