A WEEK LATER.

The night air buzzed with soft music and laughter. Katherine had insisted she didn’t want a grand affair, one that wouldn't make us targets. She also didn't want no ballrooms, no press, no velvet aisles. Just the people who mattered.

And Lucifer made it happen.

The house glowed under delicate lanterns strung across the courtyard. Tables had been laid out with linen cloths and fine dishes— roasted lamb, seafood paella, stuffed peppers, fresh fruit platters, glasses of vintage wine.
