Carla's POV
Then I remembered I was in the car with the Luna and we were heading to the boutique. My thoughts drove me pretty faraway. "So, are you going back to your Aunt?" The Luna asked after a long silence. I just wished she hadn't said or asked anything before now, while I was lost in thoughts.
"No ma'am. I will move out and stay on my own if I don't find a mate soon". I replied. I was giving myself an alternative plan as not all werewolves do find their mates on their eighteenth birthday, some actually found on or before their twenty-first birthday but I didn't pray to fall under this category of those who found their mate late. My aunt has never visited me since she dropped me, that's eight years ago. And I don't know where she is. Why will I go back to someone who made it clear that she doesn't want me?
"It's not easy out there but I wish you luck." She said.
"Thanks Luna." I bowed slightly and averted my gaze back to the window. The car drove into the biggest boutique in town. I helped her carry her bag as I followed her behind.
"Wow!" I exclaimed as I looked all over the place. The dresses there were fashionable and expensive.
"Good afternoon Luna." One of the attendants rushed to pay her respect entitled to her position. The rest greeted bowing from where they stood.
"I want to get a special dress for my maid alongside other stuff. Can you show me the way?"
"Sure, right away ma'am." The attendant said, collected her handbag from me and led us towards tons of dresses on the wardrobes.
"You can pick the ones you like and try it out." She said.
I picked out so many dresses and tried it out. At the end, we settled on a long floral pink dress which was sexy and expensive. It was what I was planning to wear to my birthday party. I needed to look attractive on the first day I'd be meeting with my mate. We moved ahead to buy several other dresses, of good quality but not as expensive as this one. Then shoes came next, Georgia bought shoes for me I've never worn before. I felt like a princess, bags, purses and jewelries, perfumes and roll-ons were included. She also bought a large and expensive pink rolling box I would use in packing my things out of the estate.
I thanked her profusely after we were done. I couldn't thank her enough, she had done so much. I also thanked the attendant who assisted us in getting what we needed. Carrying the stuff by myself in the four designer bags, I headed outside with her, my heart full of delight.
We arrived at the estate after some minutes. I rushed over to my room to try out the dress while checking myself in the mirror in front of me. I look great! I recall the luna complimenting that I have a sexy, flawless body at the boutique while I was testing the clothes abs shoes on. This boosted my confidence to a greater height. The staff there appreciate my body too.
Mrs Smith told me that they were going to host a party for my birthday. All these just because I am going. They never appreciated me when I was here and now, when I am about to go, they are showering me with gifts. Well, I will enjoy it while it lasts.

Third POV
**ONE DAY LATER**
Sebastian and Nessian were pissed that their parents were spending on Carla who was leaving soon. Were they going to miss her? Why are they acting like they were? They hate it that they are acting like she is an important person.
"And dad is planning to spend about three hundred dollars on her birthday which is tomorrow." Sebastian whined out as he sat on Nessian's bed. He had to come over to his room to gossip about Carla.
"They are holding a party for her." Nessian exclaimed out with disgust.
"Yes. I overheard mom and dad talking about it and planning the guests they will invite. The way I hate her." Sebastian scoffed. He couldn't believe they were sending her off as an important person. She is a maid, an ordinary maid and will always be one.
"Why are they treating her so well just because she is leaving? We will get another maid after she is gone after all." Nessian complained and took his seat beside Sebastian.
"I hate her and I love that she's leaving but treating her like she's worth it makes me worry." Sebastian replied to him.
"She stayed here for a long time, obviously. Can't believe she's turning eighteen." Nessian said as he recalled when Carla first came into their estate. She was sold by her aunt and she looked dejected. She was so naive then but she adjusted quickly. He and Sebastian had hated her then for her clumsiness and naive nature but she adjusted quickly and that didn't stop them from bullying and harassing her. They always make her remember her place.
"Did you realize that Dad has started to work on the construction project already. They brought the money home yesterday." Sebastian said.
"So soon. How much is it?" Nessian questioned. He didn't know his dad would start the project he mapped out soon.
"Two million dollars." Sebastian replied.
"That's more than enough." Nessian replied and laid on the bed.
"Yes, Nessian. I got an idea." Sebastian said, tugging him up. He stood up sluggishly and stared at his twin brother who was grinning wickedly.
"What is that?" Nessian asked curiously, curious to know what his brother had in mind. He knows his brother to be mischievous and cunning especially when he calls his name.
He leaned towards Nessian's ear and talked for some minutes to prevent anyone from hearing them. They know how werewolves possessed sharp ears.
"Deal?" Sebastian asked Nessian.
"Deal!" Nessian replied. They gave each other a special handshake as it was practiced by ancient hardened sailors in the sea.
They sneaked into the Alpha's room as he went for a walk with the Luna. Next thing featured them carrying a bag of money and walking out of their parent's room in a hurry.
"Close the door." Sebastian warned Nessian who hurriedly closed the door. They rushed towards Carla's room, opened the door and went inside.
"God, this place looks more like a cell." Nessian said and dropped the bag of money on her bed. Carla had gone out on an errand which their parents sent her and their parents weren't around. They are out for a stroll around the vast estate.
"I hate the smell of this place. It's unhealthy." Sebastian complained. "Be quick. Let's hide this somewhere and get out of here."
They hid it in her room, at a corner occupied by her bags of worn-out clothes which she wouldn't reach out to anytime soon and left the room in a hurry. Not so long, they heard their parents' voices downstairs. They exchanged sinister winks, scurrying to their rooms.
Sebastian was sure their parents would be quick to notice the missing money because they were about to kickstart the building project soon.
Carla came back not long after and delivered her errands. Sebastian kept looking at her with a smile. She noticed that they didn't acknowledge her presence nor did they bully her or look for her trouble. She found it suspicious but pushed it at the back of her mind as she was filled with other work. She's leaving soon and that soon is tomorrow. She doesn't want to bother herself about their matter.
The twins went upstairs to their respective rooms awaiting the drama that will be staged later.
"Nessian! Sebastian! Come out!" The Alpha called out with rage. The money he had kept for the project was nowhere to be found. Who took it? There weren't many in this house. Or did he lose it? He was sure he kept it on top of his wardrobe and only his wife and sons knew about the two million dollars.
"Dad, is there any issue?" Nessian asked worriedly as he and Sebastian rushed out of their rooms.
"Son, the two million dollars for the project I mapped out is nowhere to be found." He complained bitterly.
"Dear, you have to calm down. Are you sure you didn't drop it at the office?" The luna said, trying to calm her husband down.
"I'm sure of it. It was on top of the wardrobe. The construction of the project will begin soon." The worried look on his face can be seen as it's so obvious but both twins pretend as if they are innocent and don't know what he is saying.
"Dad, are you sure you left it at home and you can't find it anywhere?" Sebastian asked.
"Yes, son." He replied. The Luna saw how Sebastian took a glance at Nessian suspiciously.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Well, mom. We saw Carla carrying a huge bag to her room when you both weren't around. We were hiding behind the walls in the hallway and she didn't see us. We then followed from a safe distance and discovered her taking it to her room." Sebastian confessed.
"Carla?" The Alpha called out in disbelief.
"Are you sure you saw her do that?" Georgia asked.
"Yes mom. You can search her room if you doubt my words." Nessian said. "We can go on and search her room." Nessian was about to walk towards her room with Sebastian when their mother stopped them.
"I will ask her first". Georgia called out Carla's name. She wished it wasn't true. She saw her as one who won't do such.
Carla rushed towards them and was surprised to see the whole family together.
"What is happening?" She asked inside of her.
"Carla, my husband kept two million dollars in our room and we are looking for it. Did you take it?" She asked. Carla's heart began to beat rapidly as she wondered why her mistress could accuse her of such. She had been living with them for eight years and she had never stolen anything from them.
"Ma'am, why am I accused of such? I didn't steal anything."
"Sebastian and Nessian said they saw you sneaking into your room with the bag containing the money." The Alpha thundered loudly, he was growing impatient. Carla knelt on the floor immediately. The twins had lied against her and she knew she had to save herself from this situation as much as possible. This was a great accusation which could land her with the greatest punishment ever thought of. Two million dollars wasn't a small amount of money.
"I will never do such ma'am. Please sir, believe me." She cried and denied ever doing such a thing.
"Dad, you weren't expecting her to accept that she really did it if she did, were you?" Sebastian said.
"Who will accept that they stole it, we just got to check her room," Hessian cut in with a clear, sinister smirk.
"And why would I steal it?" Carla barked at them amidst tears. She had never dared to talk back at them before but things were just getting out of hand. They had crossed the limit of them bullying her and she couldn't just wait there and watch them accuse her of this without saying anything.
"You may want to take a huge amount of money with you as you are about to leave." Nessian replied to her.
"I swore with my life, I never took it."
"You should go ahead with the search." The Luna instructed her husband. She was very pissed at how a girl she decided to be nice to ended up paying her back in return. It was unthought of.
"And Carla, if the money is found in your room, you will be thrown into prison without bail or fine. All the gifts I gave you will be confiscated, for now no birthday party for you," she threatened. "Until we have made sure that the money isn't with you. We aren't fools here, so don't try to take advantage of us!"
"Such an ungrateful bitch!" She spat at her as she was about to go up with her mate, the Alpha.
