Lucian's POV

I stand frozen in the doorway, my heart pounding in my chest as I take in the empty apartment. The sight before me sends shivers down my spine. There's a trace of blood on the floor, and the door has been left wide open. Panic surges through me, and I quickly pull out my phone, dialing Carla's number.

But it goes straight to voicemail.

Fear grips me tightly as I realize something terrible has happened. I can't reach Carla, and I have no idea where she is. Desperation takes hold of me, and I call Cara, my best friend and Carla's roommate, for help.
