It's been a week since after Reedah and Alia were kidnapped. They had already begun to move on from the trauma.

Heron and Alia sat at the garden together, enjoying the cool evening breeze. Heron talked more, while Alia listened. She wanted to say a lot of things, but she didn't know how and where to start.

Heron cracked silly jokes that made Alia laugh. She fell on his shoulder while laughing, and he began to stare at her. She slowly lifted her head, and the two faced each other.
