Herons’ POV

As we were on our way to Alpha Jasper’s pack, a flood of emotions overwhelmed me. On one hand, I felt a sense of relief knowing that she was safe and sound. But on the other hand, it's difficult not to feel a tinge of sadness when realizing that I have lost her forever. The fact that she is now with someone else adds to that bittersweet feeling. I couldn't stop thinking about what said Reedah to me, here I was thinking I did something terrible to her, not knowing she left because she was trying to protect me.
