The living room grew silent as Carmen stared at Ethan. Then she lifted her head and saw Liam standing at the doorway.

Seeing the fear in his mother's eyes, Ethan turned his head and mumbled, “Oh, it's the grey eye guy.”

“Honey, go upstairs,” Carmen said without taking her focus off Liam.

“Momm…”

“Go upstairs,”

With a hint of hesitation on his face, Ethan turned around and walked away. Then he stopped when he reached Liam.
