Carmen ran into her room and slammed the door behind her. She then rested her back against the door and wept bitterly till her vision got dim because of the tears in her eyes.

She tried to suppress the suffocating feeling in her chest, but it only got stronger by the second. None of this was what she wanted in a marriage. All she desired was to marry a man that loves her, so why is she being punished for falling in love and following her heart?
