“You're lying, Kai,” I drawled out slowly. “Stop it.”

Tears blurred my vision. Kai had no reason to lie about something like that. After all, it was his baby too.

“A piece of glass penetrated into your stomach,” Kai explained further. “You had a miscarriage.”

“No!” I screamed, shaking my head in disbelief. “That's a lie!”

I knew it wasn't. I could feel it—the loss of my baby.
