I watched Kai's facial features hardened over the call. Who exactly could he be speaking with that had him so unsettled?

Could it be another relative? Or perhaps work related? I was really eager to know. 

Hanging up, I tore my gaze away from him as he lets out a heavy sigh. 

“That was Williams“ Kai blurts out, suddenly. 

I tensed. Hearing that name gave me goosebumps as I couldn't stop trembling. 

Kai must have noticed it. Placing his hands over mine, he asked. “Are you alright?“
