“Kai, quickly unlock the back door,” I say in a manner of urgency.

After I heard the click sound, I got out of the car and opened the backseat car door.

“Where does it hurt, honey?” I asked.

“Everywhere,” he sobs. “My leg and arm too.”

“Alvara, bring him inside, let's get him to take his drugs,” Kai called out to me, standing by the house entrance with the front door open.

Whisking Klein up in my arms, I rushed into the house, settling him down on the couch while Kai went up to Klein's bedroom to get his drugs.
