“Wow! But is everything alright between you?”

He drew in his breath sharply and his smile suddenly started to fade. “Not at all! Everything has turned upside completely. As it stands she wants to file for divorce,” he stated as emotions filled his voice.

I laughed lazily as I relaxed on the chair. “Miss Jenkins, I love your step sister so much and there's no way I'm letting her go for any reason,” he added.

“What were you expecting, Zane? You know Pearl pretty well. And you know the means you used in convincing her to marry you, there's no way she's staying after she had found out...
