What Brahms wants, Brahms gets.
Those are the only words that stick in my mind. I was almost restless and I could hardly sleep with what he said. I never thought that such strange creations like them live here in the world of humans. If they were called werewolf... and that's what I saw, ten years ago.
I lifted the blanket up to my shoulder and stared at the ceiling, I couldn't see it because the room was so dark. It's my second day here, it's going to be morning but I still can't sleep even for a minute. After he introduced himself as the ‘alpha’ and my ‘mate’, he took me there to the girl. I don't know what the woman's name is but her every move is calm and even-minded.
I looked out the window, like that night. The wind was strong and noisy, I got up from the bed and walked closer to the window. I barely removed the curtain that was blocking and peeked outside, I was still a bit shocked at what I saw. This is the first time I've seen the outside of this mansion since I came here, I just realized that it's almost the same as my house-- they're in the middle of the forest while the house I'm staying in is in front of the forest. This house is surrounded by tall trees, but there is a large gate blocking it.
I can't help but to stare at the sky, the sky is dark. The full and bright moon is gone and the stars are also hiding behind the thick clouds. I don't know what time it is, as long as I make sure it's two to three am now. I touched the window railings and peeked even further outside, I looked down, there was a small garden, bench and table. It is also filled with rose flowers. Is it really theirs? Mansion in the forest-- of course, they're not human.
The movement of my hair made me close my eyes because of the wind, only the sound of birds could be heard outside. The house was also quiet, maybe they were all in their deep in sleep. Surprisingly, this mansion is big but there are only three of them living there.
I just shrugged, I was about to leave but a crack caught my attention, it came from behind the trees. I stopped and looked back, my eyes narrowed to find out what was there. A few seconds later the surroundings became quiet again, but to my surprised I was backed away by two consecutive crackles I heard there, behind the trees the leaves were moving.
My chest went up and down, a deafening silence ruled around. My lips parted, from the darkness little by little the shining eyes came out, those eyes were white so I could see it right away. I was almost out of breath, sharp eyes staring straight at me. But the moment I stared at it I felt a familiar sensation. I stared back into his eyes, and those looks had only one thing to say.
He urged me to chase him and flee this mansion.
I shouldn’t have followed, but a strange force pushed me to move my foot voluntarily. I backed away, and as I backed away those eyes moved as if shifting its position. I bit my lower lip forcefully and aggressively, my heart pounding loud and fast and none of my own touched the bedroom door knob. I held it and opened it. Another voice came from my mind.
'Don't make a noise.'
He spoke, as if ordering me.
Without hesitation I opened the bedroom door. The dark hallway greeted me, but I just walked straight along the long road as if I had memorized this mansion. My feet don't make noise because I'm not wearing slippers or shoes, the floor is cold but I just don't seem to care about it.
I just kept walking, I stopped and stared at the long and high stairs. I went down there, straight and non -stop, I couldn't stop because it was as if someone was controlling my body and mind. When I came down the stairs I saw the living room in front, while the large kitchen was on the side. My gaze went straight to the bulky, high door. I walked until I reached it without looking around.
I raised my hand to reach for the door knob.
'Don't make a noise.'
I sucked my lips.
'I won't make a noise.' I promised.
Like I said, I opened the door without making a noise. I slowly opened it. When the door finally opened, a strong force shook me, the door opened loudly, causing it to make a very loud noise. It hit the wall that anyone would wake up. Along with the force was the strong movement of my hair in line with the wind, as well as my long dress was almost coincided with the acescence of breeze.
From here in the place I could still see the shining eyes, my foot moved until I was completely out of the mansion. I walked but was also stunned by the blocking gate, but that did not hinder the shining eyes. I was even surprised when from there in his seat, a large hand came out. Long fingers and long nails, my hand also moved to reach that. But I was startled by a strong impetus holding my wrist causing me to shrink.
"Get him!"
He cried out to almost wake my soul. Suddenly my body revived as if revived from the stopping of my heart, because there I fell and sat on the floor. Brahms remained standing, the woman and the two men in turn quickly climbed up to the mansion to chase the one I was looking at. The trees moved again, it made a noise that even the birds were disturbed.
"Don't let that bastard escape," though fainting I watched him.
His hair was messy, he was wearing only a white polo with long sleeves but folded up to his elbow. The four buttons were open and his other black trouser pants was wrinkled, he was not wearing slippers and his ear was red. I seem to have interrupted him from his deep sleep. He only stood there for a few seconds as if watching what was happening. He immediately turned his attention to me.
"A willful," he told.
I could only see a reaction in his deep and puffy eyes. Angry. He stared at me intently as if he didn't like what I did , I swallowed and averted my eyes. I just gasped when he suddenly stretched my arm, it was painful, grievous, intense.
He pulled me up, violently and recklessly. He pulled me until I could stand up because of his force, his eyes darkened again, it was still a bit swollen because of his sudden awakening.
"Stubborn and mulish and dogged and obstinate... those are the only words I can say about you, Hartwell."
I couldn't help but stare at him badly too. Doesn't what he says to me seem insulting? Not because he is an Alpha or a leader of any group, not to mention that he can speak bad words to me.
"Did I think you understood what I told you? I thought I told you that I don't want anyone to disobey me especially since you are standing right now in my territory."
If he just doesn't want to disobey him, why did he choose me? Why was I even taken as him and mentioned the word his and his mate? I don't really understand him, I don't understand why he calls me mate, I don't understand why he marked me-- since he's not human, he's not human and he's an animal. So are animals, right? They have no mercy.
"Don't stare at me like that."
'You have no right to command me.'
Those are the words I want to say in front of him now, but I can’t. Annoyed and angry I forcefully removed his hand from me, I turned my back on him and quickly ran inside. I can't escape because the gate is high.
I just ran, but I could only take a few steps and he pulled my hand again. He pulled me so I backed away and he forced my attention to him. I saw his eyes, now I can prove that even if only his eyes were staring at me... his courage and cruelty were screaming.
"You have nowhere to run, Mi Luna. You are already locked up with me, and I own you... now."
'Bastard!'
'Fool!'
'Jackass!'
I screamed, screaming those words for him.
He noticed my anger, I looked at my arm. I was scared when his nails suddenly fell out, they also suddenly sharpened and almost pierced to my skin giving me a pain.
His eyes are changing color, previously lifeless but now shining. A dangerous gold.
He pulled me closer to him, before he whispered.
"You can't dodge a bullet, Diana Hartwell."
