I am voiceless.
I never thought I would go through this situation. I used to say to myself, my life is good, my life is well and sober. I used to say that, no matter what happens I will not leave whatever my passions are. But I heard a sworn voice to obey that words... and that's why I became like this.
I firmly bit my lower lip, I looked up at him and met his hard and deep eyes. Even before he could speak I slowly stood up in my chair, looking around the table. I saw there a white paper and a pencil, I didn't think twice, I quickly took the one that surprised him.
"What are you doing?" His voice is full of courage, his voice is like a voice of a king that you should never disobey.
Nervously, I raised my right hand. I showed him my index finger as if to say 'wait a minute'.
I was about to write on paper but he immediately stopped me. He took my hand tightly and with agrestical, for there I let go of the paper. He tried to pull me closer to him so I looked up with fear in my eyes. What will he do to me? Is he angry? Is he angry because I am slow to act? Is he angry because I can not say my name?
"You took too long. Just now I will say this, my patience is short," I gulped.
I bowed, feeling that I was apologizing for my movements.
He stared at me for a moment. I know why, now he understands that I can't speak. I saw no reaction on his face, I saw no anger, pity or annoyance in his eyes. After a while he let me go, because his strength was almost repulsive, I flinched. He turned his back to me, I could see he was holding his forehead.
"Fuck this, it's just a mistake. It's a mess, I won't allow it," he kept whispering as if he was talking to someone.
I remained standing in my position. I didn’t know what to do so I just looked around at the whole place, the roof was high. Almost all the materials are gold in color, the table is large and behind it there are huge book shelves. On the other side there is a curtain, that's where he came from earlier. Even if I won't look at there, I knew there was a bed in it. This place looks like an office-- a bigger and richer office compared to what I see in school and in buildings.
There is a strange book on the table, it looks old. Dirty and torn.
I saw him take the paper and ballpen from the floor, he turned to me again and handed it to me. A command came out of his mouth.
"Write your name and age, don't make me wait."
I did as he commanded, shaking my hand as I wrote my name and my age.
Diana Hartwell, 17.
When it was over, I immediately gave it to him. He picked up the paper and read what was written there. I saw his lips moves, I can read his lips, I know what he was saying. He mentioned my name but there was no sound and no noise.
He took a deep breath. I secretly startled when he tore the paper and just threw it on the ground. He stared at me with his forehead high and muscularitt, as if he was telling me that he would be the one to follow between the two of us.
"I am Brahms Morgan Saige. I am the leader and the Alpha of the Silver Dawn Pack. All my commands are obeyed, all my desires are given, and all that I can afford is mine. I am here in front of you today to convey that from now on, you are mine. From now on you will stay here, from now on you will obey all my commands, I have no mercy and patience, remember that. I don’t care if you shed blood, and I don’t care if you even kiss my shoes."
My lips parted, it opened as if I wanted to speak but no voice came out of my throat. I could do nothing but to swallow in extreme nervousness. I couldn’t understand what he was saying, I couldn’t understand what he was referring to. And the more I don't understand why he said that from now on he owns me.
I'm not a toy to own, am I?
I did not move. I just stared at him with mixed surprise in my eyes, he spoke again.
"You probably don’t understand, there’s only one reason why," I flinched.
His long, generous legs stepped closer to me. Suddenly his presence became heavier and darker, I was surprised that he just kept walking towards me. And because I also continued to retreat, I suddenly found myself sitting in the chair where I was before. He suddenly bent down and faced my face, he sought for my eyes.
"I don’t care if you get hurt. I can only say one thing," I can see the evilness of his eyes. "You are not one of us and you are not belong on us."
What does he mean? I'm right in my suspicion, he's not-- they're not human. The aura of their faces was strange. Especially him, I'm not mistaken, he's the big dog-- or what creature I saw last night.
Fear and nervousness gripped me once more. The longer he stared at me, his eyes grew darker. Now I can see how he reacts.
Hate.
I dare not to move. I was scared, I was scared to push him away and run because I didn’t know what he could do. My first impression of him was that he was a leader of anything. Courage cries out, and wickedness at his word.
"I, Brahms Morgan Saige. Now I will recognize you as my partner and as my mate. Now I will let you shut up from my commands. But by the time I find out the reason why Selene gave you to me... I won't hesitate to lead you astray in the forest and give you as a prey to the rouges."
My eyes wandered at him.
"And you ... Diana Hartwell. As my only Luna, you have the right to follow whatever I command you. You have nothing to disobey, you have nothing to complain about because you are already confined to my territory."
Brahms, strange name. This is the first time I have heard his name. I wanted to ask him but I would have a hard time. He says his patience is short, he says I am slow and I am taking too long. It's better to keep quiet than to make him angry, isn't it?
"I hope it's just a coincidence that your last name is the same," he whispered.
He stood up and left me so I could breathe easily. I feel like I am suddenly free and I feel like the darkness that covers the single light from above has disappeared. He turned his back out of me, he walked closer to the book shelves, I saw him raised his hand there as if he was taking something. He picked up a book, quite thick. He approached the table and took out three ballpen.
Again, his attention went to me. Carrying what he took he walked to me. He stated that.
"Always bring it with you, if you have something to say just write it down."
Instead of nodding, I opened the book and wrote there. The book was empty, no letters but only white papers.
I showed him what I had written.
'This is the only way I can talk to the people around me.'
He shook.
"I am not a human."
I wrote again.
'I know, I've known that since I saw you last night. May I know what kind of creature you are?'
"I am a werewolf. An Alpha of the Silver Dawn Pack."
Again, I wrote.
'I see. May I know your age, Brahms?'
"I'm twenty."
I just nodded and closed the book. I write pretty quickly because I'm used to it. He left his post again-- as before he walked towards me again. What else will he do?
Now he leaned over to me, again. Closer to my face. But I was surprised when he suddenly touched the collar of my dress, he pulled it down causing my shoulder to be exposed. I pressed him but he held my hand.
"The mark is still here, but it looks different compared to the Alpha's mark on their Luna. Surprisingly, you are not like us."
I am not like them.
I am not a werewolf.
I thought he was going to leave, but his face came closer to me. Powerful words came out of his mouth again.
"You need to recognize me as your partner in life. I don't tolerate mistakes. What Brahms wants, Brahms gets. Do you understand, Diana?"
Because of his threat, I nodded even if it's against my will.
