"We will be restructuring the team soon, and starting today, Scarlett will be appointed general manager to replace Matthew."

The room fell silent. Everyone looked shocked. Emma's eyes widened, and Scarlett looked like she couldn't believe what I had just said.

"President Logan..." Scarlett finally said in a shaky voice, clearly uncomfortable with the situation. "Is... this final?"

I didn't budge. "Yes. It's final."

"But why me?" Scarlett asked again, her eyes staring at me with a confused look as if she didn't want to believe what she had just heard. "And why now? There was no warning, no prior discussion."
