"Red roses are better, Cloud. For sure, Skye will not even think of breaking up with you anymore."

"Idiot! It’s like you’re cursing us! It’s like you want Skye to break up with me!"

Reus smiled as he listened to that conversation of his two teammates slash friends, Les and Cloud, here inside the locker room of the university gym. They just finished their practice game for today. There are only three of them inside because their other friends are still in the open court practicing while being exposed to the sun.

Reus is a member of the Tennis Knights, the well-known elite sub-group of the tennis club here in their university. He is good at playing tennis so he belongs to this group. The Tennis Knights are made up of nine people and all of them are his friends and classmates, except for Rein who is two years younger than them.

They were all taking up Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering here at Saint Vincent University. He is currently in his fifth year and graduating this semester. Despite being an active member of the tennis club, he did not neglect his studies. Why of course, he wanted to graduate on time.

Although this was not the course his parents wanted him to take, they supported him. His parents were lawyers but on different fields. They wanted him to be a lawyer like them and his other brothers but he refused. He wants to get out of their shadows. He wanted to be known for himself and not the son of a well-known lawyer in the country. That was why he chose this course. Also, he has no interest in law and any laws and articles contained therein.

But there was another reason why he took the Computer Engineering course. A secret reason no one knows. Even his friends.

"Buy her a calachuchi bouquet if you want," he interjected as the two argued.

He smiled when Cloud badly looked at him. He drank the Gatorade he was holding and ignored his friend's glares. What Cloud was asking for help was for the flowers that he would give to his girlfriend. Surprisingly, his most proud friend Cloud is in love. Okay, he can say that Cloud is super in love with his girlfriend Skye.

"Reus' suggestion is good, Cloud. Calachuchi is good. It will be memorable and at the same time, cheap," Les said with a smile.

"You’re both idiots! Why will I give my girlfriend flowers for the dead?!"

They continued to tease each other when the locker room door suddenly opened and a seemingly angry Guji, his ever favorite tennis opponent and doubles partner, entered. His eyes immediately focused on him and he could clearly see the annoyance on his face.

He smiled secretly. When will this one not be annoyed, not only with him, but also with everyone in the Philippines?

"Where's my Gatorade, Jarreus ?!" he growled at him.

Smiling he raised the drink he was holding and showed it to her. "Is this it? Is it yours? Infairness, delicious."

If Guji was just an anime, he would probably see smoke coming out of his ears and cover. If it were possible, lightning might have appeared in his eyes and he would have lived there.

I think I was overly watching the animes, he was shaking his mind.

"Who the hell gave you the permission to drink my Gatorade ?!"

"Nothing," he said, he was not even shaken or affected by anger and Guji seemed to be devouring. He is used to this one so that's it.

Even though it always seems to be angry with the world, it is not a scoundrel. Well, it's just all bark. That's why he teases it so many times because its head heats up quickly. He knew that even though this one was like that, it could not hurt people.

So he will not be afraid of it. Maybe still insecure, maybe. Why? Nothing, trip.

It threw something at him. Because he lost his attention, he was caught on the forehead of the stone. "It's your problem?!" he growled at Guji and stroked his injured forehead.

"Because of you, I almost drink Kei's horrible juice!"

He looked at the stone. It was definitely the bottled home-made juice of Kei. He smiled when he thought that Guji could have a drink. Maybe his reaction would be funny if he just drank Kei's juice. Kei's juice looked and tasted horrible. Kei's juice is not deadly. Not only is it really good to look at, it makes it difficult to drink. Also, its juice has side-effects. Everyone who drinks it faints eventually.

He wasn’t the only one scared of that Kei juice. They were all scared there. Who wouldn't be afraid of the juice that caused them to faint when they first tasted it?

His proper answer to Guji was stopped when the door to the locker reopened and their captain slash coach Enzo entered followed by Kei — the evil juice maker — and their other friends.

"Is Kei the juice you're holding, Reus? It's just me if you don't drink it," said Chase who was Kei following the entrance. This is the so-called genius throughout SVU because of its unique talent in everything.

Aba! Chase is a real miracle because he is the only creature he knows who likes to drink Kei's juice. In fact, Kei's home-made juice is his favorite.

Reus tried to throw Chase the bottled juice he was holding, which he immediately caught. Chase muttered a 'thank you' to which he replied softly 'you're welcome'. Chase is kind but he has something incomprehensible in this one. It seems that despite its mysterious smile it has something to hide.

"Reus, come with me to buy Ryoma's food later."

He turned to that speaker Rein. The "Ryoma" it refers to is its pet Himalayan cat.

He nodded in response to what it said. Despite their age gap, he can say that he is here closest to all his friends. If Guji is his annoying trip, Rein is his trip to talk to.

"Where's Chuck?" Enzo asked.

He shrugged as the others shook. Chuck is their kindest and most shy friend. It does not attend their practice game for reasons they do not know.

"Anyway, I have something to tell you."

"About what, Coach?"

"Shall we go outing?"

"Are we going to kill Reus?"

He looked badly at that squeaky Guji. "Will you kill me?"

"Lika! Let's fight!" he said to her again.

"I'm a referee!"

"I'm a scorer!"

"Silence! I hear you speak besides me, I will rotate twenty times around the court!" that thundering voice of Enzo calmed them all down. 'No sound or noise will be heard. Even the lizards seem to be afraid of Enzo.

Who wouldn't be afraid of this one?

"Good. I just want to let you know that our plan against Jack Janson is effective. Guji himself can prove it," Enzo said.

Jack Janson referred to by Enzo is Guji's mortal enemy to the bones who is also a member of the tennis club. But it is not so good that it is mentioned so it cannot be counted among the Tennis Knights. Which was the reason why he was holding a grudge to the members of Tennis Knights.

Based on Kei's news, Jack is forming an alliance that will fight their group. They know for a fact that Jack couldn't beat them but Enzo wanted to teach that guy a lesson, and of course, Guji seconded him.

Enzo's plan was to use against his ex-girlfriend Jack who was very angry with Jack. Guji decides to approach and talk to Jack's ex-girlfriend. According to Guji, the woman agreed to their plan.

They started the plan three days ago and it was doing good, based on Enzo's words.

Enzo turned to Kei and nodded at the latter. Kei adjusted her glasses to her eyes and turned to her little notebook that she always carried with her wherever she went. Kei dictates the events between Guji, Jack, and the latter's ex-girlfriend.

He was almost shocked when he felt the seemingly intensifying dark aura around Guji. Who would want to date a person who can't even spell his name correctly? His face suddenly turned sour when he thought of the woman he knew was dead to Guji.

He dismissed it in his mind and focused on the meeting that was taking place.
