Sofia stood and watched his back as he ran out of the school and the chasers came back

"What did he do?" She asked herself as she walked back to class

" And what class is he?, Is he my mate?, Or my senior, he doesn't seem like a junior" she thought

She inhaled hard before entering the class

A girl is sitting on her seat already

She walked closer

"Hey you're sitting on my seat" she said gently

The girl looked at her and smirked

" I didn't see your name painted on the chair nor the table" the girl replied

" That's right so take your fucking ass away and find another seat to take" another girl from behind said

She looked back and the look on the girl's face could kill

She's about to take her bag and leave when another girl stood

"Sofia, are you stupid? How can you allow these two cows to order you around?" She said

"wait, you aren't referring to us as cows are you?" One of the girls asked

" Of course I am, Cynthia and Monica, you guys are nothing but cows, stand up from her seat before I take action" the girl (Jenny) replied

Monica stood from the seat

"Cynthia I think we need to teach someone some lessons" she told the Cynthia

" Sure" Cynthia replied and they both walked towards Jenny

" I hate dramas, but I don't think this will be bad" Lucky said amidst the gum in his mouth

" So, is it kungfu or karate or judo or jujitsu or taekwondo?, Which one are we fighting?" Jenny asked boldly

" Why is all these happening ?' Sofia thought as she fidgeted on her spot

Cynthia and Monica rolled up the long sleeves of their uniforms

"Come if you're fit" Jenny said

They both rushed to Jenny and she grabbed them by their hair

They wriggled under her grip

"Still interested?" Jenny asked

"Bitch!, Let us go!" Monica screamed

Jenny let them go and they staggered

She cleaned her hands with an hanky

"It's necessary since I held the hair of two cows" Jenny said before going to sit

Monica and Cynthia left the class immediately

"Who's she?, She's cool" Sofia thought, staring at Jenny

" And by looking at her, she'd be intelligent" she thought again,her eyes still on her

Jenny suddenly looked her way and winked at her

She smiled back at her

"Mrs Ann is here!" A student said as the teacher entered

"Wait!, On the timetable, Mrs Ann is the name of the maths teacher, and it's true, they're already in maths period on the timetable... Sofia you're so dead!" She said to herself as they formerly greeted the teacher

She's not good in any subject but she's not not not good in maths

Mrs Ann never wasted time, she started immediately

Sofia's mind drifted back to the guy and she smiled

"He's obviously not here, maybe he's my senior" she thought

That's when she noticed the seat beside her is empty but there's a bag there

"Where's the occupant?" She asked herself

She didn't look up to see anyone when she was first introduced, maybe that's why she didn't see her seatmate

Mrs Ann suddenly looked back

"Sofia?, Where's your seatmate?" She asked

Sofia's heart has almost jumped out of body when she first heard her name, she thought she wants to ask her a question

"My...my.. my seatmate?" She asked, using an unintentionally funny tone and the whole class laughed

"I feel she'll be dumb" Lucky thought

"I mean the handsome devil, your.....

Mrs Ann was interrupted when the door pushed open and he came in

Him!, The guy she bumped into earlier

The Students started murmuring

"Cute my foot" Lucky remarked quietly and smirked

" He's my mate!, He's in this same class?, My God!" Sofia thought

" I'm sorry I'm late" Dan said

Mrs Ann smiled

"Well aren't you always late to any class?, Only God knows how you manage to be brilliant despite your stubbornness, troubles and truancy" she said

" He's a truant?, He's stubborn?,he's troublesome?, Oh that explains why he's being chased earlier" Sofia thought

Dan walked to his seat and Sofia quickly faced the table, not looking up

Dan sat and looked at her..

"Terrible mistake, I should cancel this bumping and pecking of a thing" he thought before facing the board

Sofia looked up stealthily when she suspected there are no eyes on her again

Luckily it's true, she listened carefully to Mrs Ann though she knows she'll get nothing

"And I hope I won be called to answer any question, at least my first day should be peaceful" she thought

Mrs Ann wrote three equations on the board

"shall I call on my three best students to solve it?, How can kids from the same family be this cool, I'm proud of you guys... Jenny, Lucky and Dan" Mrs Ann announced as they came out

" So the girl earlier is his sis, and the other guy, he's cool too,I wish I'm also brilliant" she thought as the three came out and started solving the maths on the board

They finished at the same time

"Lucky, I know you'll be great someday, right as usual" Mrs Ann said as she took the marker from him

" Maths is boring, I don't hope to do maths in the university" Lucky replied and went to his seat

He gave Sofia a difficult look when he passed by her

"Why?* Sofia asked herself

" And Jenny, you know I love you, I love how you always solve it right" Mrs Ann said as she took the marker from her too

" But I hate maths, it sucks " Jenny replied before going to sit

" It doesn't matter, since you're so good in it" Mrs Ann said and faced Dan who has dropped his marker already

Dan bit his lower lip, an Habit he has been parched with

"Aww, how cute" the girls drooled

"He's so cool" Sofia thought, smiling as she stared at him

"And you know your way of solving maths is the best, how you create your own formula and use it to calculate but still get Same answer one will get by using the normal formula is still amazing, but your personality is....

"I hate maths, but I love my personality" Dan replied before going to sit

"How can you three hate maths when you're so good in it" Mrs Ann said

She gave them an assignment and that's when it all started

"Now how am I going to solve it?,I don't understand a thing" Sofia thought and felt like crying

" I think tomorrow will spell doom for me" she thought

She kept stealing glances at Dan who kept humming a tune

"He's so lucky, handsome and brilliant at the same time" she thought

Lucky suddenly appeared in front of Dan

"When will you stop being a nuisance, the pranks are getting too much" he said

"when you stop annoying me, please let me be" Dan replied

" Don't tell me you guys want to start fighting in class again" Jenny said from behind

" Oh shut up! " Lucky and Dan shouted at the same time, so loud that it made Sofia cringe in fear

Jenny held her lips with her hands

The closing bell rang and Dan is the first to leave the class, then Lucky ...

Sofia sigh

"Hey Sofia!" Jenny waved, sitting beside her

Sofia smiled widely at her savior

"thanks" she said

"Don't thank me, one thing you need to Know is that everyone here is sharp and brilliant so they tend to pick on the weak ones since there are no dull students here, just brace up, don't be weak, especially in front of those two devils, Monica and Cynthia" she said

" Oh...y..yes" Sofia replied

" Good, see ya tomorrow, and take care" Jenny said and blew her a kiss before going to grab her bag..she left

Sofia smiled, she fell in love with her personality instantly

"But it'll still be more nice if I'm as brilliant" she thought sadly

" Give me my book!, Come out here and give it to me when I'm still nice, I'll have to break down this door if you don't come out here!" Jennyranted in front of Dan's room this evening

"I'll give it to you next week, it'll spend the whole of this week with me" Dan replied from inside

"you don't dare!" Jenny threatened and Dan Started smiling

" You should have known by now that your threats are equivalent to a dog's poop, it's useless" Dan said

" Then don't blame me for this" Jenny said and went downstairs hurriedly

" What's up with the wonder girl again?" Mr O'Brien who's sitting on the couch with a newspaper asked

" I'm gonna break his door" she replied seriously

She ran upstairs with the center table

" How did she carry that?..... Jenny you can't break his door!" Mr O'Brien said and ran after her

Jenny got to Dan's door and is about to smash it on his door when Lucky held her hand

"You shouldn't be holding it like that, it won't open, hold it like this" he said, repositioning her hand on another side of the table

"Now hit it on the door, it'll open" Lucky said

"Thanks brother, but i hate you still" Jenny said

"And I hate you more sisto" Lucky replied and winked

" Lucky I'll curse you!, Are you even a good brother!, Jenny stop, he'll open the door!" Mr O'Brien said, reaching them

Dan kept laughing hard inside

"My book is with him, my most precious book, and it's either he comes out to give me or I break his door with this" Jenny said seriously

"you can use the spare key instead of this" Mr O'Brien said

" Spare key?, Oh no" Dan thought but smiled when a thought came in

He went to the bathroom and brought a bowl of water which he sprinkled by the door

He returned the bowl and awaited the entry of anyone

Mr O'Brien got the key and Lucky took it from him

"I'll help" he said, opening the door

"You jerk!" Jenny screamed and ran in but she stepped on the water and landed on the ground, thankfully she didn't hit her head, only her arm

Lucky giggled

"What in the holy hell do you think you're doing!" Mr O'Brien shouted

Jenny stood

"I need a van daddy" she said

" For?"

" To send him to heaven, you're so dead" Jenny said and ran in fully

Dan ducked and ran out of the room

"I wonder when all these will end" Lucky thought as he went back into his room

Jenny picked her book on Dan's bedstand first before rushing out after Dan.

"Wait and let me get you killed!" She shouted after him

" How was your first day at school?" Rose asked Sofia after getting home from work with her husband

"It was fun mum, I made a friend,her name is Jenny " she replied brightly

" But she's brilliant right?, There are no dullards in Asheville high school except for one person I won't mention" Mr Dylan said

"Dylan!" Rose ranted

Sofia rushed upstairs

"Sofia!, Sofia!" Rose Called but she refused to look back

She got to her room and shut the door, standing by it

"Why am I getting angry?, It's true, I'm really the only dullard" she thought

Her eyes widened when she remembered the mathematics assignment

" Oh no!, I have to find a way!" She thought

She sat at her table and can't even find any method to do it with

It's confusing!

Then she remembered how Mrs Ann said Dan forms his own formula and gets it right

"Should I try that?" She thought

Next morning***

" What's your kind of girl?" Jenny asked as she walked out of the house with Lucky to drive to school

"Why ask?" He asked, looking elsewhere

"Just tell me already" she replied

"Ok she must have big boobs, big bum, sexy body and...

Jenny covered her ear

"It's still too early to hear ungodly things" she said and ran to her car

She got in and her driver drove her to school

It's Tuesday, Dan is not going to school

He went back to his room after eating breakfast and just played PS

It's as if luck is not with him, he kept losing

He threw away the control after losing for the third time

"But I shouldn't lose hope" he thought and bent to get it, then a flash of what happened yesterday came

How he actually pecked the new girl

"Gosh Dan !, You're getting out of hand!" He thought, falling on the floor

His phone rang and his eyes brightened when he saw the caller

Claudia

"Hey baby" he said over the phone

" How was your night?" Jenny asked , sitting beside Sofia this morning

"It was ok, how about yours?"

"It was cool too, so my jerky brother only comes to school three days in a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so on Tuesday and Thursday when he won't be coming to school, I'll take his place beside you" Jenny said

" He's really a truant" Sofia muttered, remembering his face and smiling

"Have you submitted your assignment?" Jenny asked

"Yes, you?" Sofia said

" Same, but right now I need to use the restroom, if the notes has been given back before I come back, take mine for me, and take Dan's book too, please" Jenny said

" Sure" Sofia replied, smiling as Jenny left the class

" She's lucky, brilliant and beautiful at the same time,I'm not brilliant nor beautiful enough" Sofia thought

Almost immediately, Mrs Ann came in and was greeted

She called names and gave back the books

"You didn't call everyone's mark openly this time around" Monica said

"I have my reasons" Mrs Ann replied

Sofia took Dan and Jenny 's book as instructed

"She's not close to sharp, I can just feel it" Lucky thought

"And you Sofia , follow me to my office to collect your book" Mrs Ann said

Sofia kept Jenny and Dan's book in her bag before going out with the teacher

"Where the hell did you get the formula you used from?, You did rubbish!, Absolute trash!, You scored zero!" Mrs Ann said immediately they got to the staff room

Sofia kept her head down

"I'm just unfortunate, nothing works for me, and I have nothing upstairs' she mumbled

Mrs Ann sighed

"Hey Sofia, you know what, I'll talk to you later, go back to class and I don't want to see you brooding, you just have to believe in yourself to bring the best out" Mrs Ann said, giving her her book

She went out of the office and came face to face with Cynthia and Monica

Before the twinkle of an eye,her book was snatched from her

"Give that back!" She said, trying to take it

"I really want to see if you're fit to be here" Monica said, running to class with Cynthia

Sofia ran after them

She got to class and met them laughing

"I only know about almighty formula, what formula is this?" Monica said as she checked her book

Sofia stood glued on her spot

The other students except Lucky gathered round Monica and Cynthia to check her book

Jenny is not back yet

"This must be the alpha and Omega formula" Jenny said and the whole students busted into laughter

"She scored zero!, Nada!, How dumb!, You're a disgusting dullard!' Cynthia said irritatingly

"I knew it" Lucky mumbled, throwing a new bubble gum into his mouth

"Here comes Asheville high school dullard" the Students jeered

She ran out of the class.
