Ember stared hard at herself. How many times had she looked at Abigail in the mirror? Too many times to count, so why did the person staring back at her look so unfamiliar?
There was no wig, for one thing, but that wasn’t it. The makeup was flawless, just like the hundreds of times she applied it before. This wasn’t ‘stage Abigail,’ it was ‘going out casually Abigail.’ It was the face she showed to the press when she was doing ‘everyday’ things. It was always carefully coordinated by Laura, not that that was what Ember was doing this time.
