Marksman stopped the car in front of a house that Ember recognized as his childhood home. She turned to look at him.

“What are we doing here?”

He smiled easily at her. “I thought it was about time that you met my dad and sister.”

Ember swallowed. It shouldn’t make her nervous. She’d done hundreds of fan meets and met thousands of people throughout the years, but…this was different. These people were the ones who meant the most to Archer. They were his world and his heart, and she desperately wanted them to like her.
