Marksman’s arms snaked around her waist from behind and Ember relaxed back against his chest and closed her eyes.

“Are you doing okay?” He murmured in her ear.

“Nope,” she replied with a grimace.

She felt the smile on his lips as he kissed the top of her head.

“What can I do to help?”

“Just this,” she said, taking a deep breath and pushing down the anxiety that wanted to consume her.
