Marksman stood at the back of the hall and watched as Ember came alive on stage. He knew how worried she’d been and how much anxiety she’d been trying to keep under control. He’d been the one to suggest her first concert be here in Hope Springs. Laura had freaked out, but from his perspective, this was a low-risk way for Ember to find her feet again. He hadn’t been concerned with her ability to command a large stadium, but Ember had lost that confidence, and this seemed like the perfect way for her to take the first step back to her career.
