Keely nodded, still looking devastated. “But does she hate me?”
Marksman smiled. “No. She said she thought you were cool.”
Keely swooned. He’d never thought he would ever witness a swoon, let alone use the word. Thankfully, he caught his sister before her head hit the ground.
Ember grabbed the bags of baked goods along with the tray of coffees and used her hip to bump the car door closed. Marksman was due home any minute, and she wanted to have everything ready for him when he walked in the door.
