Chapter Twelve: A Step Closer

Mallory woke up with a start. As soon as her eyes opened, the first thing she saw was the leather-colored ceiling. It took her a while to realize it was a tent. Mallory's eyes wandered around, confused. After looking here and there, she realized that it was hers and Oddny’s tent.

A question suddenly popped up in her head. ‘How did I get here? I don’t remember walking back to the camp…’
