~can we be friends ~
**
Kara was nowhere in sight when I went looking for her. I lost track of her for just a moment and she has disappeared into thin air.
Can this night get any worst?
I pulled out my phone and dialed her number but it just kept ringing away. I doubt she could hear her phone ringing, given how loud and noisy the place was.
I decided to head upstair in search of Kara, hoping to find her there. The first room I found was empty. I proceeded to the next and found two drunk teenagers sucking at each other faces with sloppy kisses and trying to get it on.
I retreated back the same way I got in and quickly hurry out the door unnoticed.
Maybe looking for Kara in those room was a really bad idea. Maybe she went outside or up to the balcony.
I followed the same way i got to that very point and found a balcony near the first bedroom and decided to get a breather before I loose my mind.
It was amazing outside. The stars were shining brightly up in a pitch black sky as I stood there drinking in the beauty that was spread out above me.
I was so lost in the tranquility outside that, I didn't realize I was no longer alone.
"Hey pretty. Do you need some company?" A male voice had startled me as I twirl around to face him.
He had a creepy look in his eyes even though he was looking not older than me and also drunk to add to his list.
He kept swaying towards me and causing me to flinch backward as well.
When I couldn't tolerate his intruding presence anymore, I quickly took a step all the way back with my back almost resting against the balcony rail. "No thanks"
I quickly tried to get away from him but he jumped on me all of a sudden and had me pinned back against the rail.
"Are you sure about that?" He smiled coldly at me. His breath reek of alcohol. My heart beat began to race in panic at the close proximity.
His dilated eyes darted to my lips momentarily before landing on my thumping chest and I just knew I was totally done for, because he looked like he was about to attach his lips to mine without giving it even as much as a second thought.
The thought alone was enough to send my mind to a total overdrive and causing my body to spring into action.
Before I could push him off, the boy was suddenly yank off me and send flying across the air before he landed on the hard floor with a thud.
"Get the fuck away from her you creep. Do you want to be rip apart?"
I looked up to stare at Logan with his lips pulled back, and baring his teeth at the scared looking boy now sprawled on the floor.
Logan hands were coiled into a hard fist, as it clenched and unclenched with his nostrils flaring in extremity.
"I'm sorry" The boy had mumbled at me before he struggled up on his feet and scurried off without even sparing another glance at my direction.
I just stood there with wide eyes with my mouth practically hitting the floor, wondering what the heck just happened!
Did he just threaten to rip someone apart because of me?
**
Maybe no one has noticed this but my jaw always seemed to be slacking anytime Logan is anywhere close to me.
He totally seemed to have that effect on me even without trying. I just hope he hasn't realized it yet. Well, maybe he has because he is walking towards me right now with calculative steps and that half smirk I fell for the very first time we met at the hall way.
A moment ago, he looked like he was about to rip out that kid's limp and now he is looking like nothing even happened with that smile plastered on his face.
What the actual fuck is with this guy.
I was still lost in my own thought about him when he reached out a hand to my chin and push my mouth close.
His eyes were completely holding mine hostage because I can't seem to break it off. It's like we are connected by a strong wave that kept holding us still the longer we stared deep into each other eyes.
Is it just me or he is feeling it too.
"Are you really going to keep staring at me or you will thank me later when you are done staring"
Okay, maybe it's really just me. And just like that, I snapped out of my trance and took a step away from him before looking away.
"Thank you" I mumbled at him before turning to walk away but not before he quickly stepped in between, blocking my only exit.
"Wait!" He reached for my hands and I flinched backward. My reaction hurt him. He gave a throaty growl as his jawline tighten a bit more.
"What? You are scared of me too?" He paused and took in my facial expression that was giving away nothing.
He snorted at my reaction. "I just saved you from that guy"
"And I have thanked you for it. Please don't get in my way"
I tried to walk around him again and he didnt try to stop me. Maybe he didn't have to move an inch to stop me because his next word did.
"We can be friends you know?"
My feet came to a halt at the sound of his words but I didn't turn around.
What could I possibly say to him.
'Yes please, let be friends?' When am not even sure I want to be friends with the guy.
Yes it's true am attracted to him in some ways but that's just it. I don't know if it can be label as friendship syndrome or just a dysfunctional kind of feeling that comes with having a crush on someone.
The only friend I have known my entire life is Kara and we have bonded so well until she decided to ditch her best friend tonight at the very sight of alcohol.
But this isn't about Kara and i but Logan and me and just because he saved me from that drunk kid doesn't make us friends or possible friends.
I felt his presence really close at my back before his warm breath pricked my ear causing my shoulders to grow stiff in fright. "Well, you don't have to give me an answer now. You can take all the time you need"
Logan walked passed me and hurried down the stairs and leaving me to exhale the breath I didn't realize I was holding in.
I took a deep breath and another until my heart that was thumping against my ribcage finally settled before I also hurried down the stairs.
I was already half way down the stairs when I ran into Kara. She looked totally worried and out of breath.
Now what the heck happened to her!
