Early the next morning, Harris got up, and slowly stepped down  from the bed, making sure not to wake Aliya up. MeanwhileAliya was already up, with her eyes wide opened, but she pretended not to be awake. She grabbed the sheets in her palms as she felt his stare sharpened in her direction.

She was awake beneath the sheets as Harris moved up and down, from the bathroom to the wardrobe as he got ready for work. She felt as he moved towards the bed, but she did not dare blink nor shake. She just stayed still beneath the sheets.
