Novel's POV

I don’t know what happened after the darkness took me, or how many days had slipped away. But when I finally opened my eyes, my first thought was of him. I expected him to be there, yet a part of me feared he wouldn't. After all, who would want to stay with a girl who was always broken and beaten down?
