I was trapped in a dark void. I didn’t know how much time had passed, but when I woke, I wasn't in a hospital or Alexei's mansion. I was in a hollow, endless nothingness.

“Ahhhhh!” I screamed, my voice disappearing into the black. I waited for days, sleeping and waking, until the silence became unbearable. I tried to walk away from the spot where I landed, but no matter how fast I ran or how far I wandered, I always ended up back at the exact same point.
