After leaving Novel’s room, I retreated to my own. My mind was a storm of doubt and agony, but the look in her eyes as I walked away haunted me, it was a silent scream for help I had ignored. By evening, the guilt became unbearable. I decided to go back to her, to tell her that I believed her and that the past didn’t matter.
