A heavy, eerie feeling settled in my gut. Alexei kept asking if I was okay, and I kept saying "yes," but it was a lie, I was not okay.
I realized now that my visions and dreams weren't just imagination, they were real. And if my dreams were real, then the voices I heard in my head were real, too.
“Alexei, I heard and saw something,” I said, my voice trembling.
He dropped his spoon, the metal clattering against the plate. His eyes filled with worry.
“What did you see?”
