Maria stood under the warm cascade of the shower, eyes closed, face tilted upwards, as the water massaged her scalp and enveloped her in relaxation. The misty bathroom air was thick with the scent of lavender and vanilla from the bath bombs, and soft candlelight flickered around the bathtub, creating a peaceful ambiance.
