Chapter Seventy-three

I remained on the ground and just let myself feel what I was feeling. I finally let myself mope and cry because there was no one to witness it. Perhaps not even me. I turned off my mind, turned off my thoughts and just let myself feel what I was feeling.

And that was where Devon found me a couple minutes later. Well, it was about an hour or so.

He didn’t say anything, he just sat on the ground beside me, lifted my head carefully and slid underneath so that my head could rest on his lap.
