Chapter Ninety-six
Louis barely had time to react as the wolf came hurtling out of the darkness, slamming into him with a force that knocked the breath from his lungs. The impact sent them both rolling across the forest floor, a tangle of fur, claws, and snarling fangs. Louis immediately transformed to numb the impact. He dug his claws into the earth, using the momentum to push himself away from his attacker just as sharp teeth snapped inches from his throat.
