Every time I closed my eyes, I saw Elijah standing in the doorway, looking calm and unbothered. And me, humiliated. I woke up earlier than usual this morning, doing everything within my power to avoid him.
I didn’t ever want to run into him or hear his voice.
That dream… it felt too real to be an illusion.
