I groaned as the soft light of dawn casted golden stripes on my face. My brows came together in a small frown. I still felt fatigued and I wanted my sleep to last for a little while longer but it appears the morning sun had other plans. I turned my body to the other side but I felt a rigid chest stop me and my eye’s fluttered open.

Turning my head, I was greeting with the sight of Ares lying next to me, his eye’s wide open and a cute lazy smile playing on his lips. I was instantly filled with a sense of happiness.
