Cassandra felt a rush of excitement and fear as she made her way to Alpha Dominic's office. She had received a summons from him earlier in the day, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something important was happening.
When she arrived at his office, she found him sitting behind his desk, looking grave. "Cassandra," he said as she entered the room. "I'm glad you could make it. Please, take a seat."
Cassandra sat down in one of the chairs in front of his desk, her heart pounding. She had a feeling that whatever was going to happen next was going to change everything.
"I have to confess something to you," Alpha Dominic said, his eyes fixed on hers. "Something that I've been trying to deny for a long time. Something that I think you already know."
Cassandra felt her stomach lurch. "What?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Alpha Dominic took a deep breath. "I love Luna," he said.
Cassandra felt like she'd been punched in the gut. Luna was the Alpha's mate, the one he had chosen to spend his life with. Cassandra had known that he loved her, but hearing him say it out loud made it feel more real.
"I'm sorry, Cassandra," Alpha Dominic said. "I know this must be difficult for you."
Cassandra forced a smile. "It's okay," she said, although she didn't feel okay at all. "I understand."
But she didn't understand, not really. She had harbored feelings for Alpha Dominic for so long, and hearing that he loved someone else was like a knife in her heart.
They sat in silence for a few moments, neither one of them knowing what to say. Then, Alpha Dominic spoke again.
"There's something else I need to tell you," he said. "Something that's even more important than my feelings for Luna."
Cassandra looked at him expectantly.
"I received a vision from the Moon Goddess," he said. "She told me that you are her chosen mate for me."
Cassandra's eyes widened. "What?" she asked. "Me?"
Alpha Dominic nodded. "Yes," he said. "The Moon Goddess has chosen you to be my mate. She says that we are destined to be together and that we will create a powerful pack together."
Cassandra couldn't believe what she was hearing. The idea that she was destined to be with Alpha Dominic was both thrilling and terrifying.
"I don't understand," she said. "Why me? Why now?"
Alpha Dominic shrugged. "I don't know," he said. "But the Moon Goddess doesn't make mistakes. She knows what's best for our pack."
Cassandra felt a mix of emotions swirling inside her. She was excited at the prospect of being with Alpha Dominic, but she was also scared of what it would mean for her and for Luna.
"I need time to think," she said, standing up from her chair. "This is a lot to take in."
Alpha Dominic nodded. "Of course," he said. "Take all the time you need. But know that I am here for you, always."
Cassandra left the office feeling overwhelmed. She didn't know what she was going to do, but she knew that she needed to talk to Luna.
She made her way to Luna's office and knocked on the door. Luna answered the door, her expression one of surprise.
"Cassandra," she said. "What brings you here?"
Cassandra took a deep breath. "I need to talk to you," she said. "It's important."
Luna nodded and led her into her office. Once they were seated, Cassandra began to explain everything that had happened.
"I don't know what to do," she said, her voice shaking. "Alpha Dominic says that the Moon Goddess has chosen me to be his mate, but I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of commitment."
Luna listened carefully, her expression thoughtful. "I understand," she said. "But you have to follow your heart. If you love Alpha Dominic, then you should give it a chance."
Cassandra frowned. "But what about you?" she asked. "How could I do that to you?"
Luna smiled. "I love Alpha Dominic," she said. "But I also want what's best for him and for our pack. If that means you being his mate, then so be it."
Cassandra felt a weight lifting from her shoulders. Knowing that Luna was supportive of her and Alpha Dominic made the decision easier.
"Thank you," she said, leaning across the desk to hug Luna. "I don't know what I would do without you."
Luna hugged her back. "I'm always here for you," she said. "We're a pack, after all."
Cassandra left Luna's office feeling a newfound sense of purpose. She knew what she needed to do, and she was ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
Over the next few weeks, Cassandra and Alpha Dominic spent more time together, getting to know each other as more than just friends. Cassandra found herself falling even more deeply in love with him, and she could sense that he felt the same way.
Eventually, they decided to make their relationship official. Alpha Dominic announced to the pack that Cassandra was his chosen mate, and everyone cheered.
Cassandra felt a sense of pride as she stood beside Alpha Dominic, knowing that she was destined to be his mate. She also knew that there would be challenges to come, but she was ready to face them head-on.
As she looked out at her pack, she knew that she had found her true home. And with Alpha Dominic by her side, she knew that anything was possible.
