I splashed the cold water against my face, the droplets clinging to my skin as I leaned over the sink.

I looked up to stare at myself in the mirror, my eyes looked puffy, with dark eyebags, making me look like I've been short on sleep.

My mind, however, wasn’t on the tiredness and puffy face I was looking at.

I just stood in front of the mirror, zoning out as my mind drifted to Jake Montero.

The man I couldn’t stop thinking about, no matter how hard I tried.

I sighed, running my fingers through my damp hair.

Why can’t I get him out of my head?...
