After a while, we all went to Oddette's house. Their parents were already there, sitting on the sofa waiting for us. I kissed her mother and father like they were my second parents as a sign of greeting and respect.

"How are you my dear?" Mrs. Santillan asked.

"I'm good Aunty," I answered. I sat down next to her.

"Oddette, told me that the shop you're working in is already closed starting today?" she asked. I can feel the sympathy in her tone.

"Yes, Aunty, that's what Oddette said. She gave me my salary earlier and told me the sad news," I replied, lowering my gaze.
