Chapter 6

Zoren's body was the first thing that engulfed her view. His back was broad and muscular as you can see his ripped torso gaping in sweat. From his side view, you can immediately see how flat his stomach was with abs presenting in front of her.

Her throat felt dry upon seeing him, she gulped.

"Do you like the view?" he asked, chuckling to him; hearing his voice felt like she was listening to something from a song. "Can I cover it now?" he added to which she blinked several times, blushing.

Emmie averted her gaze from his body and how she wished that the Earth could swallow her up. She lowered her gaze and walked towards the vacant locker. It had her name written on it. She opened the door and put her stuff inside before taking out an apron and a cup.

Without further words, she quickly left the room and headed straight to the counter. She took over Oddette's duty and managed to learn how to operate the cashier register.

After some time, she was now accosted to it. Her friend then left her responsible with the task as her day fairly moved smoothly. It was not that difficult to begin with. She was able to make a sailing job to which she can say is satisfactory.

It was around eight o' clock in the evening when she saw Zoren approaching her. She stared at him for a few seconds before the man motioned to speak.

"You can have a break and have your dinner," he said to which she blinked a few times. "Don't worry; I'll call you in case there's a customer. Right now, take advantage of the decreasing number of people and have your meal."

Emmie nodded her head, her stomach growling. "Okay, thank you."

She immediately went her way towards the locker room to get her food. She finished in less than half an hour and rapidly went back to the counter. She didn't see Zoren anywhere and so she roamed around her gaze inside the shop.

Upon not seeing him even a dim chance of his shadow, she furrowed her brows. Where did that man go?

She was about to come back to her station when her eyes landed at him, sitting on the floor near the counters. He was busy typing on his phone when suddenly, he spoke.

Most of the time, starting from eight until we close there are no more customers. We would be lucky enough if we have one or a group of people dining in." Zoren speaks looking at her. "And that happens if there's an event going on at the plaza." She feels like her words were stuck on her throat as she can't respond.

"Are you okay?" he asked, suddenly noticing changes in her reaction.

She nodded. "Ye… Yes, I'm okay." She couldn't help stammering from tension. Earlier, before she went for a break, she could still tolerate Zoren's existence but now; she couldn't help feeling uncomfortable and shy. It was a new feeling.

Having the man stand up next to her makes her feel weak; her heart would start pounding her, thinking that he was a predator ready to launch at his prey.

She gulped.

If he were to become her husband, she's sure to become a submissive wife.

As she was lost in her own thoughts, her mind automatically wavered towards the other region; her thoughts were clouded with delusions, thinking how the man would take her to bed, if he really were to become her husband.

Busy being preoccupied, she was only taken aback when she heard the shop door open and close. The same three women visited the place, taking a table near the kitchen where you can easily peek inside.

The three were busy looking at the menu. She's grateful that there's music engulfing the entirety of the place as it removes the awkward silence of the shop.

"Have the three women entered the shop?" Zoren whispered. Her forehead immediately creased. He suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "Don't talk, just nod if I'm correct," he added to which she followed.

"Please go take their order. If they ask about me, tell them that I was out with my girlfriend," he ordered. Emmie practiced smiling to herself first before approaching the ladies.

"Good evening ladies, are you all ready for your orders to be taken?" she politely asks her pen and paper ready.

"Alright give us medium sized seafood pizzas and soda," the blonde woman said.

"Flavor of your soda, Ma'am?" she asks to which the woman turned to look at her companion.

The other one answered, "Sprite."

"Diet coke for me," the blonde woman said.

"Sprite also for me," the third one added.

She repeated their orders. "Three medium sized seafood pizza, two sprite drinks and one diet coke," the blonde woman nodded.

"Your orders will be ready after half an hour." She smiled and turned around, walking away when she felt the woman's hand on her wrist.

"Where's Renzo?" She furrowed her brows. The name didn't sound familiar and so it took her a few seconds before realizing it was Zoren. Upon recovering, she smiled at the customer and spoke.

"He went out with his girlfriend."

"So he has a girlfriend? You know what? I'll cancel our order. I lost my appetite to eat. It's just a waste of money if we can't finish our food." She was stunned when the three women stood up and walked away, she was left there alone like an idiot in the middle of the shop.
