Chapter 2 He

Chapter 2 He

Elena

The very moment I woke up, I felt a severe headache that was killing me completely. The first thing I did was grab my head, grimacing in disgust and discomfort. The second thing I felt was a pain in my right arm, but it wasn't a bad pain. It was, rather, a nuisance, a kind of strange tingle that caught my attention. And, heck, all my senses felt very heightened.

I looked at my arm, curious, and that's when I remembered everything that had happened the night after I left college and went into the woods to have a moment of peace, as I used to do sometimes when I felt overwhelmed. That kind of monster that chased me and attacked me in the shadows and left me with that wound on my arm, which started bleeding immediately, left me petrified. But... Now that I looked at my skin, I had no mark of that bite that monster gave me. How was that possible?

I felt very confused. It is that this could not be possible.

How was it possible that I had no marks on either of my arms if the night before I felt so much pain and shed so much blood? Was it all a dream?

"How do you feel?" a deep, flashy voice made me grab my chest in fright.

My eyes met those of that man, who was sitting on a sofa in a corner of the room, looking at me intently as if I were the most interesting thing in the world. I was afraid of him because I did not understand anything, I did not even know what he was doing in this place, which was a room, very beautiful, but unknown to my eyes.

Then, I also remembered that that unknown man was also the man who saved my life the night before when he carried me in his arms and brought me running towards his house.

"I'm sorry, I didn't want to scare you," he apologized, his calm voice.

I watched him not knowing what to say. As much as he saved me the night before, I was very confused about it and didn't know him. She couldn't trust that man. Well, that's what my rational part told me, because I have to admit, a part of me, deep down, felt an immense desire to trust him. It was very strange.

"How do you feel?" He wanted to know.

"Well... My head hurts," I replied, suspicious.

"There is a pill next to the bed, on the light table. Take it," he said, and I turned to see the pill on the table, but I didn't want to take it. I couldn't take anything from this stranger.

I looked at him for a while and blurted out the question. I couldn't just keep quiet about last night.

"What happened?"

The man tensed up a little, but he was willing to tell me the truth.

"Don't you remember anything that happened?"

"It's not that I don't remember, it's that I don't think I'm sure if I'm right or wrong. Because last night something happened to me very... crazy."

"What has happened to you has not been a dream."

"Do you know what happened to me?" I asked.

"I saw the bite on your arm last night. You were bleeding. I know what was haunting you." He got up from his seat and started taking a few steps toward the bed. "Do you know what was after you?"

"No, I don't know," I replied, nervously.

"Yes, you do know. You just don't want to accept it."

"No, I don't know," I insisted, but something came to mind. I was lying to that man. And he was right when he told me that I knew what attacked me.

"You know. You know it was a werewolf."

Werewolf...

"Werewolves don't exist," I refused.

"Are you sure? So how do you explain that a wolf in almost human form attacked you last night? How do you explain the fact that the wound on your arm is already healed?" he sat on the bed, a few inches from me.

My heart pounded, not only because of the situation but because of how attractive that man was. There was something that was desperately calling to him, and I didn't understand how, I didn't understand why. But I had the sudden feeling that he and I, from now on, were going to have meaning in each other's lives. But, this was a stupid thing, wasn't it?

I looked at my arm.

"You're a werewolf now," she said, and I widened my eyes.

"What are you saying?"

"Please don't try to deny it, you know what you are. It seems unreal, but this world has a lot of crazy things that seem unreal but are real. You are a werewolf now. I am willing to let you into my pack, as you are my... Luna." savored the last word.

His Luna? What the hell did that mean?

"Your Luna? Your pack? Hold on... you... are you...?"

I didn't need to finish asking, for that man's eyes turned red.

I stuck to the back of the bed and hugged my legs to protect myself. She was scared to death.

"I won't hurt you," he said. I could never hurt you.

"What are you?" I murmured.

"You know. I am a werewolf. I'm an alpha. You are a werewolf now," he repeated. "I want you to be with me now, in my pack. The wolf that bit you will want to look for you to get you into his pack, but seriously, since you are my Luna, I want you to stay here."

"Your Luna?"

"Let me introduce myself: my name is Drake Grey. Does your name begin with E? Start with E, right?"

I furrowed my eyebrows.

But for some reason, I nodded.

"Yes."

A beautiful smile was planted on Drake's face.

"Then you are my Luna. You are the woman that the moon has assigned me to accompany me during my life. I promise to protect you with my life." took my hand and placed a kiss on it.
