My mother had insisted for a while that we go to Drake's house for dinner on Friday night. The plan was to have dinner with them the following week, but I guess breaking the news about the pregnancy would have to happen sooner. I didn't feel quite prepared for it; I was afraid of my parent's reaction, no matter how grown-up I was or how much control I had over the situation.
