A force engulfed me. The feeling was strange, as a strong tingling sensation completely overcame me. The pain disappeared for a moment, and a radiant light made me squint my eyes. I stopped seeing all that darkness and dim light; I stopped seeing the demon; I stopped seeing my blood staining me; I stopped seeing my wounds, and I got lost in that light. I have to admit that the first thought that crossed my mind was that, with the little strength I had left, I had died. I felt anguish, fear, and a desire to see my family, even Drake, despite being furious with him.
