Stacey returned home with a happy face.

And of course, her dad and mum dint failed to notice it.

"Welcome home baby, how's work?"

Her dad asked.

"Good, how you daddy?" Stacey asked.

"I'm fine, you seems Happy." He said.

"I actually have a surprise for you."

Stacey said.

"Really, what's the suprise, I'm super anxious to find out." Her mum replied.

"Oh madam, the suprise is for her dad not you." Mr Raymond teased her.

"Oh not now mum, dad, close your eyes."

Stacey said.

"Must we?" Dad asked.

"Yeah, that's because is a surprise."

Stacey replied.

They smiled and did as she told them too.

She bring out a white envelope from her purse.

"Here, open your eyes."

Stacey said placing the envelope on her dada hand.

He open his eyes and stare at the envelope.

"What's in here?" He asked.

"Why not check it out yourself." Stacey replied.

He chuckled and opened the envelope, he removed the paper inside and unfold it.

His eyes scanned the paper, and tears fall from his eyes.

"Is this some kind of joke Stacey, how in Earth." He asked crying.

Her mum picked up the paper and read it.

"Is this for real, Stacey you paid the bank and everything." Her mum asked not able to believe her eyes.

"Yes I did, but dad, you shouldn't be crying, this is a happy news, we supposed to be celebrating and not the other way round." Stacey said.

"I know, I'm very excited, I don't even know what to say, how do you get the money to pay for it?" Her dad asked.

Stacey paused and recalled.

"I'm going to give you 500 thousand dollars if only you will get married to me for two to three months, let's just say a contract marriage, I know people like you will do anything for money." She remembered Lucas word.

Tears fall from her eyes.

"Baby are you okay?" Her mum asked.

Stacey quickly wipe her tears.

"Mum, dad, you know I will never do anything wrong right?" Stacey asked.

"Yes, but that money is huge Stacey."

Her dad replied.

"You just trust me, I will let you know how I got the money but for now, I'm just not ready." Stacey said.

"We respect your decision, and I appreciate that you did that to save us from getting evicted, Stacey, I'm the most luckiest father to have you, thank you so much for saving us." Her dad said.

"Oh no thanks dad, you have done more than much for me when I was young, and yes, here is 250 thousands naira check, you can start up a little business with it."

She Stacey said.

"No, I can't accept this, this is way too much." He said.

"Well, not like you have any option."

Stacey laughed and retired to her room.

She laid on her wooden made bed thinking about Mr Lucas, her life will sure be hell in his house.

Lucas decided to visit his dad again, to feed him with the news he had been hungry for.

He arrived at the Mansion and headed straight to the door, and without knocking, he used the password and entered.

"Mum!." Lucas called.

Mrs Evelyn was very shocked to see Lucas coz he never visits until his dad ask him too, he care less about family, all he cares about is company, endorsement, investment and maintaining been a famous billionaire and son of a billionaire.

"My baby, oh my God, I'm so happy to see you." Mrs Evelyn said kissing his face.

"Oh mum, stop kissing me, I'm not a baby." Lucas said.

"You will forever remain my baby, come here." She said and pulled him in a hug

"Yeah whatever, dad home?" He asked.

"Yeah, in his study room, but I thought he said he only want to see you after you decide to bring a bride?" Mrs Evelyn asked.

"Well, calm down, I can't give you the news first, so go get dad if you want the news." Lucas said.

"She doesn't have to call me, I'm here already, so what's the news?" Mr Andres asked.

"Hey Dad, I think you should start getting my inheritance ready." Lucas said.

Mr Andres laughed.

"Really, and why will I do that?"

Mr Andres asked.

"Because, I'm soon getting married."

Lucas replied.

"Oh my God Lucas, are you for real? I'm going to become a mother inlaw, your wedding will be the talk of town I promise you, we will go shopping in Dubai, we will do alot of things, we will hire the best wedding planner ever."

Mrs Evelyn said.

Lucas covered his ear.

"Mum, stop it, you are Exaggerating,"

Lucas said.

"You don't know how happy I am, you are my first and only son Lucas, your marriage is gonna be my biggest dream come true." Mrs Evelyn replied.

"Okay, so, who is, where she lives, who is her dad, is he also a business man, what is her work, is she pretty?"

Mr Andres asked.

"All no, but she is pretty, she is poor and I don't think she have any reasonable work doing." Lucas replied.

"That doesn't matter, what is inside is what matters not the outside, so I will want to see you by tomorrow." Mr Andres said.

"Is too soon dad, is not like she is running somewhere." Lucas said.

"Yeah, but I want the engagement and wedding to happen in 4 days from today, so I will see her by tommorow, we will set date for the introduction, and then the engagement and finally the wedding, don't worry, I have already gotten you a mansion that is bigger than mine."

Mr Andres said.

"Oh that's nice dad, I will bring her to you by tomorrow, and thank you, so I think you better start working on your properties paper, I can't afford you giving what belongs to me to Leo."

Lucas said.

"Giving him everything is not really a bad idea, he is kind_."

"And hypocrite." Lucas cut him off.

"Don't talk bad about your brought Lucas, he is doing pretty well managing the company." Andres said.

"Yeah whatever." Lucas replied.

"Uhmm, do you think u could spend the night here, I mean I don't have to go to my mansion today." Lucas said.

"When you left, you dint say a word to anyone, so if you wanna stay, you can equally stay without asking us, I will go back to my study room okay." Mr Andres said.

"Okay dad." Lucas replied.

"Oh, before I forget, have this."

Mr Andres added and throw a car key for Lucas.

"I bought you the latest purshe, is parked outside." He said.

"Thanks alot dad, you are the best."

Lucas said excitedly.

In the night

Lucas retired to his room and decided to call his lawyer to arrange for the contract marriage documents.

★"hello, barrister Johnson."

Lucas said and took a sip of pineapple juice, his favorite.

★"Mr Lucas, how have you been it's has been so long." Barrister Johnson said.

★"yeah, busy with work, I'm in need of something, but I want it to be within us, like a secret." Lucas said.

★"sure of Course, is the duty of every lawyer to keep privacy for their clients, so how may I help you Mr Lucas?" Barrister Johnson asked.

★"it may sound stupid but I want you to get contract marriage documents for me, tommorow or next tommorow if possible, I want to get a contract marriage for two or three months."

Lucas said.

★"wow, I can't believe this, are you kidding me? Contract marriage? Why?"

Barrister Johnson asked.

★"it's just that, my dad wanna hand over all his properties to my jerk of a cousin brother because he think he is more matured than me, he gave me a condition to bring a bride in a week time or I will say bye to everything that rightfully belongs to me." Lucas said.

★"that's not cool, it's wrong because contract marriages don't usually end up well, mostly they fall in love with each other which is perfectly good."

Johnson said.

★"I'm sure of my self, there is no way I will love that girl, so will you help me or not?" Lucas asked.

★"I will, I will start arranging the necessary documents and I think it will be ready by next tommorow."

Barrister Johnson said.

★"thanks alot barrister Johnson, it's an honor to me, that means alot."

Lucas said.

★"well, consider me helping a friend, but guy, you gotta be careful, if your dad find out about it, he won't take it lightly with you, that's like deceiving him."

Johnson warned.

★"he won't find out, trust me, good night."

Lucas said and hang off.

He bounced on his bed staring at the ceiling.

"I will make sure that girl never escape from calling me a jerk."
