The whole place was quite as Stacey walked into the well designed hall dressed on her Rag clothes as Lucas called them.

All eyes were on her, the reporters were already snapping her, people began to murmured.

★"what's this, who the hell is she, she doesn't deserve to be here, I hope she is not the bride to be coz it will be so embrassing to the Andres family."

One of the guest said

★"probably she is one of the securities."

Another one said.

★"she can't be one of the securities, because they dressed on good dress not a Dirty Rag she is wearing." Another one replied.

Lucas saw her and his dad gave him a questioning look, Lucas gulped down hard.

"I swear I will make her regret." Lucas said in anger.

Leo Smirked,

"Let's make this more fun." He thought and coughed.

"Hey lady, are you looking for someone?"

He asked and everyone laughed.

Lucas stood up and walked to Stacey.

"Are you mad, do you plan on embrassing me, what the hell is wrong with you?"

Lucas half yelled in a wisper.

"I'm Sorry, my dress get messed up and I have no option than this."

Stacey apologize

"Why not tell me the truth that you have sold the dress, there is nothing you can't do you poor thing." Lucas cursed.

"Believe me, a girl just appeared and crushed a plate of soup on my dress, and I don't know what to do, I can't leave the party." Stacey said.

"You should have leave, it will have been better, do you know what this will cause me?" Lucas asked and pinned her hand to the back.

"You are hurting me Mr Lucas, let go of my hands please." Stacey said struggling to remove her hand from him.

"Okay, I'm tired of this drama so can you explain who she is coz she is definitely not your bride to be." Mr Andres said.

"Uhm dad, actually she is_."

Lucas tried to say.

"Good day sir, I'm sorry for appearing like this, I know how embrassing it is, but I have no option, my dress get ruined and this the only dress I have with me."

Stacey said.

"So you mean to say, you are Lucas bride to be?" Mr Andres asked.

Stacey bowed her head.

"Why do I feel like this girl belong to the slum, I mean if her dress get ruined doesn't mean this will be the kind of dress she have with her, for God sake, is Lucas future we are talking about."

A guest said.

"You are right, I'm poor and lives in the slum." Stacey let the cat out of the shell.

"What, I can't believe this."

They murmured.

"Actually, I want to be honest with everyone, I know is embrassing to appear like this, but this dress means everything to me, it worth more than silver and gold to me, this dress was gifted to me by my dad during my birthday years back and it has been the most treasured gift I ever had, it's bad my dress get ruined but on another side, I'm happy that you got to know my real self, I'm poor, working hard to earn a living and I'm proud of it, appearing on a sparkling gown with a dirty heart is meaningless, but we should consider what is in the inside, sir, I'm sorry for ruining this day for all of you, I accept every decision you made, and you are right, I don't belong here, I'm so sorry."

Stacey said and started heading out of the hall but was shocked when everyone started clapping for her.

She smiled, Lucas sighed in relief.

"In my whole life, I have never met an honest person like you, I'm so happy that your son is getting married to such a sweet honest girl." A wealthy man said.

"He is right, I must apluad your truthfulness and confidence about your status." Another man replied.

"Actually, I always thought that my son is not matured enough, but today, seeing this lady as the girl he choose to marry makes me a proud father, honesty is more than silver and gold, thanks for being honest to us." Mr Andres said.

"It's my pleasure sir." Stacey replied.

"Oh no, don't call me sir, why not call me father in-law?" Mr Andres asked with a smile.

"Sounds great, thank you Father inlaw."

Stacey replied.

"Oh my God, I'm so speechless honey, I love you alot." Mrs Evelyn said and kissed Stacey all over her face.

Mrs Evelyn offered Stacey a seat next to her and she settled down.

Mr Andres Walked up to the microphone.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I feel so honored for you guys honoring my invitation, and as all of us here know, this whole party is for my son bride to be introduction, and right now infront of everyone, I will like to proudly accept stacey into my family, I'm so proud that my son made a right choice by choosing and outstanding, honest, beautiful, smart and lovely lady, my son is indeed matured."

Mr Andres said and everyone chorsed.

Leo was so angry.

He saw lucas and decided to go say hi.

"Lucas, congratulations." Leo said.

"Thanks if only it comes from your heart."

Lucas replied

"What do you mean, of course it's comes from my heart." Leo protest.

"I don't think so, because your face is saying something very different, I mean, who will be happy to loose Mr Andres inheritance, I knew you were thinking of becoming the owner of my dad's properties but unfortunately, it won't happen now, not even in a dream."

Lucas said and laughed.

"Don't think you won Lucas, don't forget that, your dad still love me more than he love you." Leo said.

"I don't have a problem with that yunno, just know how to play your game smart, else, I'm gonna beat you up in your own game, have a nice day cousin bro."

Lucas said and winked at him.

Leo angrily throw the flowers base besides him.

"You won't get away with this Lucas, I promise."

Leo yelled Angrily.

Dinning table.

All the guest left leaving Mr Andres and his family including Stacey, and leo.

"So daughter in-law, where do you stop in your education level?" Mr Andres asked.

"I stopped at high school and my dad couldn't afford to pay for my university."

Stacey replied.

"That's sad, what do you want to become?" He asked again.

"I want to become a baker and own my bakery shop." Stacey replied.

"Nice one, Lucas, where do you met with Stacey and for how long?"

Mr Andres asked again.

Lucas stare at Stacey not knowing what to say, what kind of lie will he tell when he knows Stacey is an honest lady.

Stacey understood what he was trying to say and she intentionally pour a coffee on her dress.

"Shit, I messed up my dress, I'm so sorry."

Stacey said wiping her dress with her hands.

"Shoot, I will order for a new dress okay, just go wash yourself up." Mrs Evelyn said.

"Okay thanks, the bathroom please."

Stacey pleaded.

"By your left sweetie." Mrs Evelyn replied.

Stacey stood up and walked to the direction described by Mrs Evelyn.

"Aunt, uncle, I will go make a call."

Leo said and quickly go after stacey.

Stacey arrived at the bathroom and began to wash her dress.

Someone coughed and she was slightly scared, she turn to check.

"Oh, is you." Stacey said holding her chest.

"Are you scared?" Leo asked and laughed.

"Nah, I just dint expect to see to, do you wanna use the bathroom?" Stacey asked.

"No, but I just want to confirm something, I know you don't love Lucas, maybe he just force you to do this, you can share it with me, I'll help you." Leo said hoping Stacey will open up.

"Why will you think of something like this, he is totally a cool guy." Stacey replied.

"Don't fake it, you are an honest lady, look I know how arrogant Lucas is, if it's because of money, I can double what he gave to you, you just have to end Everything and I will do whatever you want me to do." Leo said.

Stacey was quiet for some time, indeed she hates Lucas, he is an arrogant jerk, very proud and wicked, maybe she could accept Leo's offer and pay for the money lucas gave to her, and probably pursue her career of being a baker, and open a business for her dad, and be free from him.

Stacey thought.

"You seem to be lost, are you thinking of considering my offer? You won't regret this, this will be the best choice you will ever make you will say goodbye to poverty." Leo said.

"I don't know but_." Stacey tried to say.
