I whined in the grasp of a disorienting sleep, as a tingling sensation surged through my body. Gradually, I forced my eyelids apart. Opening them was a struggle as much as moving them. My head, as heavy as my aching eyes, threatened to split apart as every moment sent an overwhelming jolt of pain to my skull. My limbs were leaden and I toiled hard to lift my arms.
In between the haze of consciousness and disarray, it occurred to me that I had been drugged.
My vision was blurry and it seemed as though the walls were pulsating as they contracted and expanded. I squinted...
