Chapter 6

Chapter 6

Jaiveer's POV.

"She has fainted due to exhaustion; her blood pressure is low; feed her healthy foods" —and blah blah.

Well, my freshly wedded wife fainted in my arms after I fucked her; she looked horrific before losing consciousness, as if she didn't want to see me that time.

Something was surely wrong.

I took her back to her room, called the doctor, tucked her properly on the bed, and wiped her face with the wet wipes.

Shravani got on my nerves on the first night itself. When did she become so fucking sassy? Talking fucking back to me and whatnot.

And the worst fucking thing is, I lost my control; that was not meant to happen. The plan was just to breed her and not consummate the marriage like two new married couples in love. I lost it when her scent engulfed me; she smells like raspberries, and it was addicting, and I don't even like raspberries.

What the flying fuck is wrong with me? I don't even smoke the weed from Vikram. Didn't do any drugs, then why did I lose control like this?

Shravani is seductive, sassy, and so fucking strong; she has taken all of my taunts in this whole year with a smile on her face, never snapping back to me or anything, and the biggest mistake is I thought of her as soft-spoken and timid, but she is the whole package of a bad bitch. Not mine her words; she herself called that she is a bad bitch.

Shravani looked shocked when I asked her to leave my bedroom; she wasn't expecting it. Well, at that moment, all I wanted was to fuck her again, again, and all over again, and I hated myself for it.

The best thing was to give her the cold shoulder, and I did; maybe that time the sadness flickered in her eyes before she left my room.

Suits her; she needs to know her place.

We are nothing, no fucking thing, just tied in this marriage.

And here I am sitting on the chair in her room and staring at her as she sleeps; she has gained consciousness and then slept all over again as the doctor injected her with something.

Then why the fuck am I sitting here and waiting for her to wake up so I can feed her the food?

Leave, Jaiveer, leave.

I fucking can't.

Vik, Abhi, and Rey, they all call me heartless, stone of my man and whatever, but I do have a little humanity in me.

At least I don't want my wife to get sick and weak on the next day of the marriage; she should look healthy and pretend that she is happy being married to me.

Shravani was trying to say something before she fainted, but what? And why was she looking so scared and timid? How many shades does she actually have?

I should question myself as well: how many shades do I fucking have? I fucking kissed her as well. That was never meant to happen; it was not a kiss. I literally had my tongue down her throat, the fuck.

_______________

I stirred when the blasting of music reached my ears; I couldn't comprehend the lyrics, and when I opened my eyes, they widened. Shit, when did I sleep?

It's already morning, and my wife, who looked timid, weak, and broken, is now dancing around the room with blasting music and having the salad.

Who prepared that for her?

Why didn't she wake me up?

How dare she play some weird lyrics when I was sleeping?

On top of it, where does she get the energy to dance like this?

And the fuck is, I kicked her out of my room last night, and I slept in her room.

What the fuck is wrong with everything around me?

So, my routine has fucked up, only being married for 15-something hours.

"Good morning, husband." When she noticed I had woken up, she switched off the music player and walked up to me.

I gave her a once-over before looking away; she was wearing my shirt, which was extra large for her, reaching till her upper thigh.

Shravani leaned down, and before I could comprehend what was happening, I felt her lips pressing against my jaw hard. Fucking raspberries.

I should leave her room before my boner makes the entry.

Slightly pushing her, I stood up when she said something that stopped me dead in my tracks, "I got the contraceptive; do you think I should take it?"

What the fuck did she say?

"Do you want me to remind you, Shravani, why you are here for?" I hissed through my gritted teeth as my palms curled into a fist.

"I know, Veer, I know the deal and what I need to do, but the thing is---" she stopped and stuffed the salad in her mouth, munching on it. "You are forgetting something."

"We are married, we fucked each other, saw each other naked, and after that, you tossed me aside like trash," I was amused when her voice raised at me.

"You want me to carry your fucking baby, right? Then give me my right to be your wife; what more does she want? Isn't everything happening by her demands?

"You are already my wife; do you want me to tattoo it on my forehead now?" She has the audacity to piss me off so well as if she has done the extra course of PhD on it.

"A husband and wife share a room together, and your last night's behaviour is not acceptable. I am not a trash or some roadside whore whom you fucked and kicked out." Shravani looks pretty when her mouth has something restraining it, or it's taped.

And now she is looking like a fucking nuisance.

"This is my house, and you will stay wherever I want to." I am not backing off now.

"From now on this is my house as well; don't forget I am your wife," this girl. Why does she have to be so annoying?

"We are sharing the room; I don't want to stay here in this room and let you treat me like some whore because I am NOT," my palms curled into a tight fist, and I fought the urge to bend her on her knees and stuff my cock in her mouth to stop the shit she is uttering.

"You know what, Shravani, fuck off." I turned to leave her room, done with her shit and drama.

"I will use the contraceptive pills if you don't let me stay in your bedroom with you, and I am not at all kidding."

My grandfather should be the one to be blamed; just because of him, I am stuck in this crazy wedlock with this wildcat.

Yes, Shravani is a wildcat, and she didn't back off, clawing at my skin last night.

"Do what the fuck you want," and that's my way to say that she can fucking stay in my bedroom.

Congratulations on your wedding life, Jaiveer Singh Rathore.

Shravani's POV.

I am not mean or bitchy, but I acted like one in front of my husband because that's the only way to get his attention.

I showed my weak, pathetic self to him last night when I fainted in his arms. I never wanted Jaiveer to see that part of me, that dark and broken part, which I have successfully hidden from my parents and others. That should exclusively stay with me.

So, when I woke up today, I was shocked, and my heart fluttered when I found him sleeping on the chair. He stayed by my side and watched over me. But the other part of me felt pathetic; I didn't want Jaiveer to pity me.

Somehow I made it to the washroom, washed my face, and cleaned myself, feeling the pain between my legs with every movement.

I got down and prepared myself a salad as I was famished; gladly, I found all the ingredients. I controlled my breathing, not letting the anxiety hover over me, seeing the black interior.

Once I was done, I walked back to the room after grabbing my clutch and switched on the musical player, playing one of my favourite songs by Camila Cabello as I danced and continued munching the salad.

Jaiveer should know that last night I fainted due to exhaustion and nothing else. Even now, I feel weak and pain in my body; I still want Jaiveer to know that I am unfazed.

Even I proceeded to threaten him when he woke up with the contraceptive pills, which were actually my antidepressants. Glad he believed my lie.

I am scared to stay alone in an enclosed space; even sometimes I used to get scared in my bedroom. Glad Savannah used to share a room with me that time.

Now I am Shravani J. Singh Rathore, so he should be the one to stay with me, and damn, I am such a fucking manipulator that I trapped Veer here in it as well.

________________

"Are you expecting me to drop you at your parentshouse?" Veer asked when I got down the stairs; I got ready in a maroon-coloured suit, did a little make-up, and applied the red lipstick. I loved how the nuptial chain and the vermilion enhanced my whole look.

"Well, I do have my McLaren 720s, and I know how to drive." I replied back, giving him a once-over; he was ready in his tailored suit, surely going to the office.

Walking over to him, I wrapped my arms around his neck, my red bangles jiggling and making sounds at my movement, "You didn't tell me--" I stopped my words and fixed his hair. "How am I looking?" I completed my sentence, staring at him.

I am wearing heels, and he is still so tall.

"I got ready for you," I further added, leaning closer. "Wore all the essential things like a married woman."

"I don't have time for your shit," he jerked my hand, getting away from me.

"Uh-uh, don't lie; if I unzip your slacks and check, you would probably be hard and ready for me." I thanked my genes for the confidence I have.

My mom and dad literally created a masterpiece named Shravani Datta. While Savannah, on the other side, is a total clown.

Anyway.

"Let go of me, Shravani, because if I push you, it will be termed as abuse." I concealed my pale face and pressed a tight kiss on his cheek.

"Have a good day, husband." I whispered against his cheek, his posture stiffening.

Jaiveer didn't say anything and walked to the elevator.

Taking a deep breath, I clutched my bag tight and literally ran towards the elevator.

"Very bad, husband, you can't leave me like this." I placed my palm in the mid and stepped in.

Sighing, I passed him a cheeky grin as he rolled his eyes and looked anywhere but me.

This is his way to control himself. I know I do affect him; I saw it last night, the way he did me twice.

When I walked out of the building, I noticed my black McLaren standing there with another truck at the back, which had guards; surely Dad sent it for me.

"Ma'am, your keys," I thanked him, accepting the keys.

Jaiveer didn't glance at me as he hopped in his Rolls-Royce, ordering the driver to drive off.

He is role-playing the shy bride, and I am on the other side a pervy husband.

Laughing at my own joke, I walked to my car, got in, and drove off.

________________

Once I was done meeting Mom, Dad, and Savannah, I locked myself in my room and took a deep breath.

'Don't get scared, Shravani, everyone is downstairs.' I chanted it again and again as I quickly dialled a number.

"Hello Dr. Jonas, Are you free?" her voice sleepy as it's probably midnight in the USA.

"What did Shravani say?"

"You told me that I am fine, but these symptoms came back again. I fainted last night; all the negative thoughts occupied me. My PTSD was cured already, right?"

She heard me keenly.

"Shravani, breathe,"

"Why does it keep coming back again and again? I don't want to get addicted to the pills again, doctor. It's been months. I stopped taking pills, and I was doing well until last night. I needed the pill, but I fainted before taking it.

"Shravani, calm down."

"I don't want to go through hell again; I want to move on from it," I heard her sighing as tears started rolling down my cheeks.

"You are a liar; you told me it's cured, and I am fit. What if I get pregnant and the child turns mentally ill as well? No, no, no, I don't want this." When the thoughts clouded my mind, I started hyperventilating.

Why don't I have control over my emotions?

"Shravani, drink a glass of water, stop hyperventilating," she started. "I'll be in India in two days; meet me, and until then stay away from the things that trigger you. Don't sleep alone, don't stay in the dark, and most of all, don't let these thoughts overpower you. You are strong and confident."

"And about the pills, if you feel that you aren't able to control it, or are on the verge of a breakdown, take one and not more than that."

"I'll be there soon; now practice the box breathing method and try to meditate if you can," she further instructed.

"Thank you." I hung up the call and grabbed the glass of water, gulping it in a go.

After controlling my breathing, I walked out of the room, plastering a smile on my face.

I am a pro at hiding my true self.
