Jaiveer's POV.

I didn't notice what the doctor said; my eyes were stuck on Shravani as her hand fell limp and her lips parted. She was so pale, like a ghost; the faint sound of a baby crying in the background didn't get the reaction out of me.

"Hey, hey, wake up. You can't die like this; wake up." I patted her cheeks, and the next second I was screaming at the doctors, their words falling on deaf ears.

She can't leave me like this, right?

She was fine. What the fuck had happened? Why is she not responding?

Wiping the tears that blurred my vision, I continued rubbing her...
