“No .no..no. I just have to see Carl. He's missing me badly, and I have some works to do with my dad..” I made the last statement up so he could see how urgent it was for me to leave.

I just couldn't stand seeing Vivian and Cecile any longer. Plus, my mood is already ruined and I don't want to ruin it further by extending my stay here.
