Logan’s POV

I boarded a flight back to New York not long after Emily's call. Restlessness gnawed at my chest, my mind racing with several thoughts. I was enveloped by the hum of activities at the terminal. I scurried around, grabbing my luggage behind me. Finally, I was onboard. A wave of relief washed over me but I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was definitely wrong.

I stared at my phone as I dialed Emily's number but she wasn't picking.

“Emily, please pick up. Pick up..” I whispered, shoving my fingers into my hair with a line of worry on my forehead.
