Liam's POV

We ran out of the house and came up to the car

"You've got to drive the car, I can't drive" Daphne said

"But I'll have to let go of your hand for us to get in" I said

"Then let go, there's no one here now" she said as she jerked her hand off mine

We quickly entered the car and I drove off

"You didn't feel anything?" I asked

"No" she replied

"What about the Soul Hunters?"

"You said they are also known as the Hollow brothers, I don't think they've got emotions" she said and I nodded

It was still raining heavily

And then reality dawned on me

Charlie is dead

How can Charlie die?

He was gonna help us figure all this out, how could he die

"Maybe we should just go to my house now" Daphne said

"Do you still remember the way?" I asked

"That's what am trying to figure out now, everywhere has changed" she said

"Just describe the place for me"

"It's a big house, probably old by now, beside the West Haven's Church" she said

"I know the place" I said as drove in the direction of West Haven's Church

I drove for what seemed like forever to me and then finally stopped at in front of the house

Daphne quickly came down and she ran into the house

I walked behind her and we entered the house

I cleaned one of the chairs in the sitting room and sat on it with Daphne

"We'll start looking for clues about the orphanage you were adopted from tomorrow, I think we should get some sleep for now" I said

"Okay" She said as she stood up

"You aren't feeling any emotions?" I asked

"No, everyone's probably asleep now and their emotions are dormant, well except if they are having a nightmare but I can't sense anyone have a nightmare now"

"Okay" I said

"Though all the rooms are dusty but you can clean up one and sleep on it" she said and I nodded

Then she went inside one of the rooms

I dropped my head into my hands as I tried to stop the tears forming in my eyes

Charlie is dead

I still can't believe he's dead

I tear fell from my eyes and I quickly cleaned it

I've got to be strong if we're gonna survive this

Daphne's POV

I went to my room and looked around

Except for the dust, everything was just the way we left it before I was taken to the woods

I opened my wardrobe and it was almost empty, I packed most of my clothes while moving to the woods

Only a few clothes were remaining and a teddy bear too

The one Mom and Dad bought for me on my third birthday

I took the teddy bear and sat on the dusty bed

Tears rolled down my face as the memories rushed in

I can vividly remember everything as if it happened yesterday

Why couldn't I control my powers then

I killed my own parents

Even if am able to get rid of whatever it is am Cursed with, the truth of killing my own parents will haunt me forever

"Am sorry Mom and Dad" I said aloud as I broke into tears

The door suddenly opened and Liam came in

"Are you alright?" He asked as he sat beside me

"Am fine" I replied as I cleaned my tears

"You thought of your parents?" He asked and I nodded

"Everything's gonna be fine" He said as he hugged me and I sniffed

We disengaged from the hug and he looked at me

"Are you okay now?" He asked and I nodded

"You should get some sleep then" he said as he stood up to leave but I held his hand

"Are you okay?" I asked

"What?"

"I mean, the Soul Hunters killed Charlie and you guys seemed really close" I said

"He's my uncle" he said "And thanks for asking, am fine"

Liam's POV

"He said something before he died, something about you not being the last Walker" Daphne said

"I.... I totally forgot about that" I said as I sat back on the bed

"He said you should find Aria, Who's Aria?" She asked

"I don't know, I had no idea there was still another Walker existing apart from my uncle and I, Maybe Aria is a Walker" I said

"How are we gonna find her?" She asked

"I don't know Daphne, I don't know. I think we should just concentrate on finding the orphanage you were adopted from for now. I've placed some of the Musk roots round the house and since its also raining, they went be able to detect our scents that easily so we should both get some sleep while we can, I have a feeling tomorrow's gonna be a really long day" I said and she nodded

"Good night then" I said standing up

"Good night" she replied and I left the room

I went to one of the empty rooms and I cleaned and dusted the bed

I laid on the bed facing the ceiling

I aren't sleepy at all

How can my life change so much in such a short time

Was all this destined to happen to me right from the start

Now Charlie is dead and he said am not the last Walker

Throughout my life I've never heard about any other Walker apart from the ones I knew and they are all dead

Is Aria a Walker?

Why does Charlie want me to find her?

How am I gonna find her

I kept thinking of everything and I didn't even know when i fell asleep

Daphne's POV

The rays of sun shone across my face waking me up

I slowly stood up from the bed and looked out through the window

For the first time in 22 years, I slept

I saw childrens going to school, adults going to work and some teenagers arguing

And then I felt a bang on my head and I suddenly became dizzy

It's been long I felt this much emotions from so many people all at once

My skin was on fire and my heart was shredding into pieces

I was slowly becoming unconscious

The pain is too much for my body to contain

My eyes were closing and I was falling

But two strong arms caught me and everything became quiet and cool

I slowly opened my eyes

It was Liam

"Are you alright?" He asked and I nodded slowly

We sat down on the bed and I rested for a while

"We should start looking for any clue about the orphanage I came from, Charlie said not to stay in a place for too long" I said

"Where exactly should we start looking?" Liam asked

"In my Dad's office" I replied

"Office?" Liam asked

"Yeah, he has an office at home and he keeps all his documents there" I said

"We should go there then" Liam said

We both stood up with Liam holding my hand

We walked to the room my Dad used as his office and there were cobwebs and dust everywhere

"We should clean this place" I said

"We don't have time for cleaning, like you said, we should leave here soon, we can't stay in one place for too long" he said

We went over to the shelf and started looking through it

We were really slow since we were still holding hands

"This isn't working" Liam said "I can't go through all the books and documents here with one hand"

"What should we do then?" I asked

He kept silent for a moment, thinking

And the he removed his belt and tied our ankles together

"All that is needed is skin contact, now our hands are free" he said and I smiled

We took different books and documents from the shelf and looked through it

We are faster in it now

We spend more than an hour but we couldn't find anything

"Found something!" Liam squealed and I quickly looked at the papers he was holding

"My adoption papers" I said and he nodded

"Hope orphanage Buckley road West Haven, that's where you were adopted from" Liam said

"We should go there now" I said

"Yes but before that we need to get some new clothes, we can't keep going around in one cloth" Liam said and I huffed

"Do you know how many years I've been wearing this cloth?" I asked raising my brows

"No, I don't wanna know" he said shaking his head vigorously and I laughed

"But still, we should get some clothes and food supplies on our way since we have no fixed place to stay for now" he said and I agreed

"Let's go then" he said

"Your belt" I said pointing at our ankle and he laughed

"Sorry, I forgot" he said as he removed it

We went out of the house and walked towards the car

"There are many people around and I'll have to let go of you for us to enter the car, will you be able to handle it?" Liam asked

"Yeah, it's only for a short moment" I replied

Liam let go of my and we quickly ran into the car

And he held my hand

"Did it hurt?" He asked

"Not much since it was only for a short moment"

"Let's go to the orphanage then" he said as he started the car

I wonder what discovery awaits us at the orphanage.....
