Lilian, who had this suspicious look on her face, studied Diana’s movement.

“What were you up to back there?” Lilian’s eyes narrowed at Diana as whispered her question to her.

“What do you think?” Diana asked back, her head inched forward, blowing the hair out of her face; her eyes had this determined look in them.

Looking back at the just-closed door with a look of alarm on her face, Lilian’s eyes widened and she hurriedly covered Diana’s mouth with her palm, dragging her towards the hidden comer of the hallway.
